Beachfront vacation rentals in Bristol County

The cottage is located on the same property as three other rentals, a large house and two smaller once. Depending on how many of them are occupied, privacy can vary. During our stay the two smaller homes were rented as well. Unfortunately the backyard is not completely fenced, but there was on piece of fence that allowed us to block the one open spot, so our dogs didn’t run away. The cottage is big enough for two adults. The bathroom is fairly small, but is enough for a short stay. The living room and the kitchen are adjacent and are nice for cooking or spending time when you are not discovering Newport and the surrounding area. The location is perfect if you are looking for a peaceful and quiet spot after a long day of discovering Rhode Island, Martha Vineyard, Block Island and many other beautiful places.

This was a Perfect Beach Escape – Ideal Location The location is fantastic – just a short stroll to the beach and a quick walk to town, where you’ll find everything from cozy cafes to trendy shops and local restaurants. You can go from a lazy beach day to a shopping store. The house itself is a great. It’s beautifully decorated with a coastal vibe, filled with natural light, and impeccably clean. The layout is perfect for relaxing, with plenty of space in the living area and a fully equipped kitchen, ideal for when you want to cook up a meal. The outdoor spaces are amazing too – a spacious deck with comfortable seating, a grill, and the sound of ocean waves in the background. One of the highlights is the attention to detail. We had a great stay at this Airbnb. Our hosts were very nice and Jenifer was extremely accommodating. The space was very comfortable , clean, and the kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals. The area is very walkable with many great restaurants, bars, and an awesome coffee shop very close by. Parking was perfect and a huge plus was the ability to take our boat also!!

The location is great and the place was clean. Mitchell was very communicative.

Unreal deal and amazing views. Stay here if you value scenes and vibes over luxury. It’s an older home so it gets a bit hot and stuffy but you literally cannot beat the view. I’m almost reluctant to write such a good review so that I can gate keep the place for my family 😃. Can’t wait to go back!

We stayed here for three nights with our toddler and newborn and had such a great time. The house was super clean, which made a big difference with little ones, and the layout worked really well for our family. The host was really responsive and easy to communicate with, which we appreciated. We were lucky to have amazing weather during our stay, and the outdoor space made it even better. Overall, it was a comfortable, easy, and enjoyable trip—we’d definitely stay again!

I absolutely loved my stay at the Melrose Cottage! The pictures don’t do it justice—this place is stunning, with breathtaking views all around. I came for my son’s graduation in Providence (just a quick 20-minute drive) and was touched by Erin’s thoughtful graduation basket with wine, bubbles, goodies and a card for my son. The home is beautifully set up and has every amenity you could need—so much care went into making it perfect for guests. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. I’m so glad I found this hidden gem. I will stay here again if given the opportunity. I highly recommend Erin’s Melrose Cottage.

We would love to return. We had a wedding a the Newport Beach house so it was super easy to walk across the street and walk back after the event.

I was so happy to have a room with a view of the ocean (though it included a view of some telephone lines and street lights, just fyi) and to be literally across the street from the beach. The room was spacious and calm, with lots of natural light, the bed was huge and comfy and clean, the parking was easy, and I really thought this was a great base for my Newport trip. Note; I stayed int he original building.

Thank you the place was awesome no complaints here me and the family had a great time and from some one that didn’t grow up seeing a place like this one this created a great memories for me and the family once again thank you.

We had an amazing stay at Newport Beach Hotel & Suites’s! Our first night there was a wedding party who stayed up quite late but the hotel was very accommodating when it came to moving our room due to some late night noise. Kris at the front desk was absolutely amazing! Extremely friendly, going above and beyond answering questions and making our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The location was right near the Newport downtown but far enough away that it wasn't too crowded when walking for coffee or grabbing lunch. Lastly, the rooms/bathrooms were renovated recently and were very nicely done!

I love this location. Huge rooms. Comfortable king size bed . Quiet. Great views. You can walk to this little beach around the corner. The kitchen has everything you need. Pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker. I bring my own food and cook. The tv has cable but I didn't see how to get Netflix. Also there are two big bathrooms. They have a pool but I haven't used it since I go in April. Newport is a quick drive over the bridge (there is a $4 toll fee- if you have EZpass no big deal). Plenty fo shops and restaurants in Newport and of course the huge mansions from the 1890's. It's about $50 to go into two of them. Or the Breakers, the most famous one is $35pp. Check out Bellevue Ave, its fabulous. I also like to eat at the Red Parrot. There are plenty of local shops to browse, and the Wharf where you can walk along the water. Parking is free in the winter/early spring. Check the signs cause they do have metered parking. I can usually find something, and there are lots you can pay per hour.

Clean, easy, 1 mile to downtown Newport, walk across to the beach, great parking. Good value, last min end of Summer booking.

Exactly what we were hoping for! Location and view were outstanding. The working dock was so fun to watch!! Everything was fantastic!!!

This was the best air BNB experience to date for us. The place is super charming and the full i my pop okof character. George and Miranda are so responsive and helpful. Small details made it so special - a drawer of toys, the cutest coffee bar, the epic album collection, the stocked kitchen - couldn't ask for anything else! highly recommend!

Jacqueline was a wonderful host! Super responsive, helpful and accommodating - she truly thought of every detail one may find useful when staying away from home. Place was clean and tidy, and she had lots of extra things for our kids to play with while at the beach. The beach itself was right down the street, and it even had a little playground for the younger kiddos to play in. Plenty to do in the surrounding area so long as you're driving, we especially enjoyed visiting some local trails and how close the house was to the ferries. All in all, a truly great stay!

Very cute, comfortable, and clean cottage right on the water. Easy to find with multiple food spots in walking distance. Albert was very communicative and we really enjoyed our stay. Would stay here again and recommend it to friends visiting the area!

My family and I enjoyed our stay immensely! The house was clean, everything was easy to find, and we were comfortable there. The neighborhood is quiet with a beach and walking trails close by. Seeing the wild turkeys made the whole trip special. Donna was very helpful and responded to my questions quickly and nicely. Her note and gift of Portuguese bread was heartwarming and unique! I'd recommend this Airbnb to friends and family and if we're back in that area again we'll be staying at Donna's house!!

The cottage was an amazing place to stay for our long weekend. It was immaculate, cozy, and the perfect location for walks or short drives to the water and restaurants. It was great to wake up and have coffee outside on the porch taking in the beautiful view. Lauren was super responsive from check-in to check-out and even before. Oceans 11 was top notch!! They provided everything we needed for a few days of exploring and relaxing! The sign Welcoming our family was so special. The home was so comfortable and very clean. We loved our private beach and the neighbors were so sweet and kind enough to share cucumbers and tomatoes from his garden. We visited the Zoo and The Ice cream cottage provided a yummy summer treat! We did some antiquing and visited some great restaurants. We would definitely recommend this home and would book it again!! Thanks for a memorable stay!

Great little house, cozy and welcoming. Nice beach just down the street. Beds very comfortable. The Coffee machine Keurig didn’t work for us, we could not figure it out, but luckily we brought our own gadget to make coffee. Loved the decor of the house.
