A fairy-tale luxurious cottage - The Tea Caddy

HarrietRating, 5 stars2 months ago
A peaceful and rejuvenating stay at the Tea Caddy. We never wanted to leave! We enjoyed the beautiful garden, so much so we ended up getting engaged under the blossoming tree!
An arched brick entrance is framed by a well-maintained wall. The open door leads to a path of square tiles that extends into a green grassy area, bordered by trees in the background. The sky is clear and blue, contributing to a bright scene.

Wivenhoe flat - with parking - near shops

AnnaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
For someone who had to go to university daily and also wanted a beer by the river with colleagues in the evening and go to London on weekend this place is perfect as it’s 20 mins to uni and 20mins to train station. The place has very rational space, good kitchen and spacious living room and bedroom, ready to be lived in for the two weeks I stayed! Definitely would stay again!
A charming front patio garden is visible, featuring a small round table and two chairs. A flowering tree adds a touch of nature. The entrance door, framed by large windows, provides an inviting view of the flat. A wooden fence encloses the space.

Lovely small place - we used it for a weekend visit to see family and it was ideal, within walking distance of pubs and shops and also a number of nice walks that can be done from the property.

Cosy Corner of Historic Country House & Garden

SallyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The apartment was very private, located at the rear of the beautiful Fysh House. Tastefully decorated, very clean and comfortable. Lovely big shower, comfy bed with crisp clean linen. We absolutely loved having sole use of the walled rose garden. So peaceful to sit out with a glass of wine in the evening sunshine, or shelter in the shade of the trees when it was hot! Easy to walk into Bures via the footpath almost opposite the house. Plenty of local walks should you desire. Sophy was a very friendly host with good knowledge of the local area. We can thoroughly recommend a stay at Fysh House. Plus you must visit Lavenham and Flatford Mill (Constable’s Haywain) during your stay.

The Sunset Nook

We enjoyed our stay at the Nook. The place had everything we needed and felt much more luxury than the local hotels. Of note was how clean it was on arrival. Alex was a great host. Would recommend!
A serene water scene features six sailboats gliding across the river's surface, set against the backdrop of lush greenery and distant land. The sunlight reflects off the water, enhancing the view of the tranquil environment.

Absolutely beautiful , such an amazing old pub with beams and quirkyness everywhere. attention to detail was superb with all the amenities you would néd great touch on the table football and the games and books. Pub served an amazing Guinness as well with friendly and professional staff and absolute credit to the public house and hospitality trade.

Quiet retreat in Constable Country

DavidRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The Annex was a wonderful place to stay, set within beautiful grounds. Clean and comfortable, the unique property provided a tranquil base from which to explore the stunning landscape. The owners, Malahat and Roger, were helpful and friendly but never invasive. The garden and extensive grounds were amazing. I sat and watched deer, foxes, woodpeckers, red kites, buzzards, and listened to owls, cuckoos, blackcaps and white throats. I left feeling refreshed and somewhat restored.
