Onze gezellige woning in hartje Mechelen is de ideale uitvalsbasis om Mechelen te verkennen. Dichtbij winkels, de vismarkt vol terrasjes en de bezienswaardigheden. Toch is de woning in een rustige straat gelegen, met uitzicht op de prachtige kerk Patershof. De woning is voorzien van een uitgeruste keuken, vernieuwde badkamer en zachte bedden. Prachtig herenhuis op 2 km van centrum Leuven. Mooie badkamer en gezellige kamer. Mogelijkheid om een koffie of thee te drinken op de kamer. Hoewel ik Sofie niet ontmoet heb, was er een zeer vlotte communicatie. Checkin was met sleutelkluis.

Fine mezzanine room with double bed

I stayed at Griet's for a week while visiting Mechelen for a conference. The attic room is peaceful, comfortable, and like a little cottage atop of her house - private yet still connected through shared hallways, bathroom, and a gorgeous backyard. Griet was communicative and flexible with check in, supplied me with eggs from her chickens, and a powerful fan when the weather got very hot for a few days. She took time to talk with me about Mechelen and Belgium, and social issues in the world. Much of the time I was in and out of my room without much interaction, but openness to conversation and exchange really brightened my days. This was hands down one of my favorite experiences facilitated through AirBnB.

La casa di Maarten è in pieno centro cittadino, comodissima a piedi per tutto ciò che la città offre e di facile accesso, seguendo le indicazioni precise fornite. Lo spazio è impeccabile, se possibile meglio della descrizione e delle foto: ottimo gusto minimal, curatissimo, pulito e ordinato, con mille piccole attenzioni, per niente scontate. E' predisposto anche un angolo per la preparazione di piccoli pasti, con bollitore e microonde, il tavolo è ampio e comodo e Maarten fornisce stoviglie ma anche caffè di qualità. Il piccolo e delizioso giardino offre alla stanza un respiro in più. Consigliatissimo. Lier è molto piacevole, vivace e interessante di per sé, ma anche buon punto di partenza per visitare le città vicine. Grazie Maarten, siamo stati benissimo!

Mijn vrouw en ik verbleven twee nachten bij Josiane. In een door bomen omgeven kamer kom je vanzelf tot rust. Een bezoek aan Mechelen, Leuven, Brussel of Antwerpen is met de wagen goed doenbaar. Fietsen of wandelen in de omgeving: zeker doen. In de buurt zijn voldoende restaurants en op goed 1 km is er een kleine supermarkt (7/7 open van 8 tot 20u). Zelf koken is wat moeilijker: je hebt enkel een oven ter beschikking. Maar het kan. Koelkast, Nespresso voor koffie en een waterkoker zijn aanwezig. Voldoende borden, glazen, kopjes, thee, koffie... alles is voorzien. Een heel goed bed: niet te hard of te zacht. In de badkamer is een ruim bad aanwezig met een overvloedige keuze aan producten. Let wel: geen douche. Het toilet zit achter een muurtje. Josiane reageert heel snel op je vragen: pluim. Aanrader!

Had the best stay at Jordan’s place! I am a 21 yr old female and am always skeptical about staying in homes with others but felt safe from the start. I had a big luggage but was able to keep it in the garage which is at street level and has 2 doors to secure which Jordan showed me how to open so I could open it myself in the early morning to catch my flight. The Ubers were only €9 from Jordans to Airport but I choose bus as it was right in front of the apartment and only €3. There was a lock on the room door which was easy to use and Jordan gave a set of house keys so I could come and go as I pleased. Location amazing, close to bus ~1 min and train ~3min which also goes to city center. Note that essentials aren’t provided as described in listing so if you plan to stay multiple days don’t forget a towel :) would stay again!!
