Beautiful views and surroundings. Great back deck to enjoy the area. House was well set up and kitchen had everything we needed, and appreciated the coffee! Rebecca was super helpful and responsive….we had a great getaway!

Our stay at Rebecca's was perfect from start to finish. There was good communication and the Airbnb was as described. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. The Riverview trail, just a 5-minute walk away, is a beautiful walk. The home was not only clean but also well-equipped with everything we needed. We especially loved the cozy living room downstairs where we spent our evenings. Rebecca's hospitality was exceptional, and we were thrilled with every aspect of our stay. Thank you, Rebecca, for making our stay so wonderful. We highly recommend Rebecca's place and would love to stay here again. We are grateful for the wonderful experience.

The only thing missing were binoculars!!! What a beautiful, serene place! The four of us had such a good time! The highlight was visiting Tom Wynn’s Cobb Hill Alpaca Farm!! This home is so well built and cared for…everything worked and was up to date. We’ll definitely come again!!

This was a very clean home that was close to interstate to navigate the area.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Emily's lovely and bright airbnb. It was the perfect place to kick-off our 2-week road trip. Emily kindly allowed us to check in an hour early. This allowed us to eat an early dinner before heading out to see the Roanoke star on a day when storms were forecast for the evening. Luckily, we avoided any storms. Seeing the star was lots of fun! On the way back to the airbnb, we stopped off for some fro-yo at Sweet Frog, conveniently located just 5 minutes from Emily's place. Then our family enjoyed playing some ping-pong before calling it a night. Everything was so clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The backyard is filled with birdsong, and the neighborhood is very peaceful. We felt very at home here, and we'd definitely return here if in the area again.

If you’re looking for a true escape from the city, Susan and Dave’s place is the perfect choice! The cabin is chic, spotless, and spacious , and the surroundings feel straight out of a fairytale. Susan and Dave are warm, welcoming, and excellent communicators. We’d love to come back and highly recommend this magical getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay at Susan's beautiful victorian home. She was a great communicator and gave us detailed information to make things go smoothly. Her home was so lovely and well kept. It was beautifully decorated and filled with explanations and items that gave us a sense of the home's history. The grounds were will kept and filled will beautiful flowers and trees. The surrounding area was quiet and peaceful, with rolling hills and tree covered roads. Our rooms were spacious, with comfortable beds and linens. Susan thought of details that made our stay comfortable; electric fireplaces in each bedroom; Roku TV with easy access; many outlets for charging all of our tech; well supplied kitchenette & bathroom. We just loved everything about it and will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

This is a very special and beautiful place!!! It is very rare to find something so close to Blacksburg and Christiansburg while also feeling completely private and surrounded by nature! The pond is quite large and has beautiful trout swimming around (NO fishing!). I did jump in for a swim on a 75° morning, but it is stream-fed and shaded - quite cold! I quickly couldn't touch my feet, so it's also quite deep. If you plan to swim, I'd suggest waiting for a 90°+ afternoon! We waded in the creek and walked the road listening to birds. The Merlin bird ID app identified SO many birds that we had never heard of, including a Louisiana Water Thrush, which kept jumping off the ground to catch bugs. I strongly recommend bringing your favorite insect repellent during insect months. But from an ecological standpoint, this is as close as you get to pristine nature and still having modern amenities! IMO, this would be perfect for a couple small families with kids. We will definitely be back!!!

The house was absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated. Beds were comfortable. Walkable area to some local restaurants. The only issue we had was that the neighbors pounded on the wall late at night and we got a message that we were too loud despite just talking in the living room. We thought we were respecting the quiet hours but be aware the walls are paper thin. The hosts were gracious about it so I still wanted to give 5 stars as the place was perfect otherwise.

this was a fun weekend trip we take every year to see our friends who live locally. We usually stay at hotels in Blacksburg or Christiansburg. This was cheaper than a hotel, we drove less and it was in a quaint little town. It was immaculately clean and had all we needed for a two night stay.

Joe's Place was a great place to spend the weekend in Blacksburg. Joe was very responsive, example-we got there a bit early and Joe generously let us in. Electronic keypad on door made coming and going very easy. It was well appointed, with enough kitchen items, clean linens and towels. Furniture and beds were comfortable. It was not cluttered but decorated in fun VT Hokie football items-a true fan would enjoy. Definitely a great place for a guys sports weekend, especially being on that side of town with a short drive to the stadiums. Thank you Joe!

Stephen's apartment/loft was a nice, central spot in downtown Roanoke-perfect location for our long-weekend visit. Took grandson to Mill Mountain Zoo, Virginia Transportation Museum, and down to the Historic Market (disappointed in the Market as it is now compared to what it was years back tho). Lots of downtown restaurant options and Blue Ridge Parkway access is not far (via Mill Mountain). Campbell Avenue location was central to where I traveled to visit ancestral homes - easy navigation to/from as it's close to 581. While various business venues observed the nightly noise curfew, most vehicular traffic did not (during the weekend) so future guests might want to be prepared for extra external night noise. The loft/apartment was comfortable and clean, and Stephen's house rules/directions, etc. were clear and easy to follow - he was very responsive to any/all questions/inquiries and we would definitely consider enjoying this location on a future trip to Roanoke.

Absolutely love staying at Debra’s place. She is very accommodating and excellent communication. Super close to Virginia Tech. Home away from home!!!

Jamie was very responsive and kind!! Enjoyed my stay here, struggled with bug bites from some of the bedding but the stay was really nice overall and was spacious and clean.

House was as described in listing. Michael was great as a host. It was a work-week for me. Shower had good water pressure. Bed was comfortable. The Roku TV in both the bedroom and the living room was a bonus. House had supplies to cook with that should have what you would need for any basic meal. I setup my laptop at the dinning room table on one side to see out the windows while I worked in the evenings. AC was very good and kept the entire house pleasant. Parking was right by the guest entry area. The only con I have was the stairs to go up to the back porch entry (mainly if you have multiple items to bring in like I do), but for most people with a couple bags it would be easy. There is another door to use to unload/load in the front, if you parked temporarily on the side street. Overall, great stay for a week and would recommend to my friends (who are not pulling a boat or trailer). Perfect for a single person or a couple without kids.

We enjoyed staying here. The interior of the loft apartment was clean, well decorated, stocked with whatever you’ll need, and the included laundry room was a major plus. The location is in close proximity to a major grocery store, and downtown Floyd is walkable where there’s a lot of fun things to do and see. We ran into a few small issues while staying, and the owner was quick to communicate and resolve them. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for dog lovers and lake lovers! I’ve rented various condos at Smith Mountain Lake and several different ones at Stripers Landing, but Shannon’s place is now my new favorite. With a great view, plenty of space and the option to bring the pup - it’s such a treat. Highly recommend.

Loved our stay at SML! The coffee bar was a great touch and the towels were incredibly soft. Danielle and Ryan are great host. Would definitely come back!

One of my daughters and I stayed at Matt's listing to just get away and be together. It was a wonderful stay! A very easy walk to a private and lovely beach area. Easy access to 2 great pools, a hot tub, sauna and even racquetball court. Our time inside Matt's space was equally as relaxing. Simple and comfortable decorations, all things desired were easy to find. Even had a dishwasher - that was a treat! It was great to have the top floor as the view was fabulous. Top floor did mean taking a few stairs, but that was not at all a big deal. We hope that Matt was satisfied with our stay, because we would LOVE to return (and other daughters are hoping they get to go :)!

This was a wonderful place to stay! Mary Anne was incredibly responsive and helpful at all times. The place and surrounding area was peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend!

We had a wonderful long weekend here, enjoying all the beauty of Smith Mountain Lake. We rented a boat, played mini-golf, walked along the lake, and ate great food. This condo is the perfect location to relax and play.

We’ve stayed here several years in a row. Place is always spotless and welcoming. We love the corner unit. Very convenient for boat docking.

The view from the condo was stunning and beautiful, just like John’s photos online. The detailed directions and descriptions were very accurate. John welcomed us during check-in and thanked us when we left. It would be nice to have screens on the sliding glass door. Definitely would consider staying there in the future!
