Guesthouse vacation rentals in Black Mountain

This is a quaint ADU located very close to downtown. The location is peaceful with great Mountain views. The check in process was easy and convenient. Our host Kim was always responsive, accommodating, and proactive. The bedroom is located up some steep stairs but was not an issue for us but something to consider. I would consider staying again when I want a peaceful setting but close to downtown.

My trip to the country cottage was such a welcome respite while working on an assignment in the area. Cozy, quiet and beautiful surroundings. Jerry and Deborah are so welcoming and lovely to be around. I learned much about the area from them and they were always checking in to make sure things were going well. I look forward to returning soon with my family to explore the area more and spend some time with my new friends.

Such a beautiful, peaceful oasis! We loved the beauty, the goats, the comfy bed, the garden, seeing a bear, the plush towels and the proximity to town. Jana was very responsive and helpful. Definitely a 10/10 and we would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay and thankful for an economical solution to a last minute trip to Asheville.

First off, we didn’t end up staying at Taras. We saw the reports that there was a potential flood threat from Hurricane Helene, so I had to cancel the morning we were supposed to arrive. I know that providing ratings when we did not actually stay seems dishonest, but every exchange we had was timely and considerate and it was exactly the kind of place we were looking for in our search. I hope that Tara and her family are safe and the people of Asheville quickly receive the necessary resources needed to rebuild from the devastation. It’s such a calm place. I enjoyed sitting on the couch each morning, drinking coffee and watching the horses across the way. The coffee the hosts provided was delicious. The bed was very comfortable. The hosts were welcoming, their old dog was very sweet, and the few glimpses and sounds of an active and loving family made me nostalgic for old times, when my children were young.

I had a great stay here! The place had everything that I needed. There was great wifi access and I was able to work here. The area was beautiful and I woke up to birds every morning. James was friendly and an all around great host. I’d highly recommend to anyone coming to the Asheville area. I hope to visit again!

Great place to stay, centrally located to get out and explore the area.

The view was amazing! Our favorite place was sitting by the fireplace. It looked just like the pictures. Quiet and peaceful. Nice touches with the decor. Anglea responded and answered questions quickly. It's approximately 15 - 20 minutes from Asheville. 10/10 would recommend.

My husband and I were so thrilled to spend our honeymoon hiding in the mountains! The views were unbeatable and our loft had anything and everything we could’ve ever wanted! The gardens are beautiful and we loved relaxing by a fire after long day of hiking! Debbie and Art never treated us like anything less than family during our entire stay!! If you’re lucky enough to check out Picker’s Pantry while you’re there do it. Locally owned and a fun treat if you’re looking for some treasures to take home. We can’t wait to rebook!

Our stay was amazing. We enjoyed every second. It was spotless and very well maintained. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy the beautiful Mountain View’s while still having the cleanliness of home. We will definitely be staying here again

Great. Super communicative and the neighborhood can’t be beat between downtown and west Asheville. It’s also roomier than the picture and on the first floor with no one above you. Nice.

Daniel's place was an oasis in middle of a busy area. The convince factor is excellent. Plenty of restaurants, close to airport & interstate, close to national forest and a Walmart nearby for any needs. Given that description, one would think this place is in busy suburbia....and it is, but you would never know it. Beautiful wooded and gated neighborhood with a pond, cute homes, safe and walkable. Really can't beat this location. Would not hesitate to book in future.

Perfect place for our two week stay! So easy to walk to coffee, food, and the library. Lovely house and hosts.

We absolutely loved Sam’s place. Every room was filled with thoughtful details that made it clear that care went into every choice. It was perfect for two & perfect for four when our grandkids spent the day & night with us. The backyard space was good for entertaining family & friends one morning, too. We’d gladly rent again.

My second stay did not disappoint! The hosts are gracious and responsive. It’s a cozy, clean, private setting with lots of greenery all around. It’s peaceful yet located close to all the surrounding sights. Five stars x 1000!

I went to Asheville last minute and was looking for a spot close to downtown. This place!!! While being close to downtown, it felt more like an English cottage row! Every morning walk, I felt like Snow White. The suite was perfect for one or two. The beautiful waterfall as you come in was spectacular. My morning walks were a daydream. Wild turkeys, beautiful birds, and one day I had a Mama bear and her cubs come visit. This stay was so good, I requested one more day because I didn’t want it to end. I would stay here 1,000 times again. The most perfect time in Asheville.

This lovely gem in Asheville, NC is exactly as described . . . it is the perfect getaway spot! So close to all of the fun things Asheville is known for. Towels are exceptional! My daughter and I enjoyed every minute of our stay here!

Lots of extras for puppies, which we loved. Back yard was cozy, and we had fun playing with our two dogs. I would say two people + two dogs is max capacity for this cute tiny home. Our first night, we had an issue that was time sensitive. Lucinda was very communicative and proactive in solving the problem. Great host!

Wild Roots 2 is a little sanctuary for the weary traveler! The space is cozy and clean, the bed is comfortable, and the creek just steps out your door is the perfect way to start and end the day. The hosts were extremely responsive, kind and helpful. Their property is tended with love and care and the mountain road it sits atop is beautiful and new each day, with birds and bears and bugs of all kind! Be sure to be informed about the wildlife you might encounter… you can find instructions in the thoughtful guidebook found in the rental. The Swannanoa community is warm and inviting, and has many wonderful local businesses to support as the community rebuilds lost Helene. I couldn’t recommend enough! 💚🌿
