Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Binnenstad

This was a perfect place to stay for our three weeks in Utrecht. Jochem’s place is bright and spacious, a lovely place to be and right in the heart of the city. We loved being able to walk the few minutes to the canal, shops, cafes, and restaurants. Jochem himself is a fabulous host - so welcoming and helpful. We really appreciated how he went out of his way to make our time there comfortable.

Die Unterkunft war wirklich top – sauber, gemütlich und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Auch der Kontakt zur Vermieterin Lotte war super freundlich und unkompliziert. Sie stand immer schnell mit Rat und Tat zur Verfügung. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass sie mir im Vorfeld sehr detaillierte Informationen zur Parksituation gegeben hat. Dennoch war das Parken vor Ort leider etwas umständlich, was für mich zu einem kleinen Punktabzug geführt hat. Insgesamt aber eine klare Empfehlung – ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen!

We had a very relaxing 5 nights. Kees and Karen were impeccable hosts, laidback and always helpful. We didn't come by car, but it's easy to get into Utrecht either by bus or tram. Would definitely book again.

Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön gestaltet - stilvolles Interieur, gemütliche Atmosphäre und ein riesen Highlight: das große Badezimmer mit freistehender Badewanne und Sauna. Vor allem die Lage ist auch unschlagbar und direkt am Wald. Schweine, Fasane und Hühner befinden sich in angrenzenden Gehegen. Haustiere sind willkommen und die Hosts gut erreichbar. Alles in allem top! Wir hoffen, diese Unterkunft bald wieder zu buchen :)

We hebben er maar een nacht geslapen ivm een workshop in de buurt van het appartement. Maar we hadden er langer kunnen blijven. Het is een smaakvol ingericht appartement met oog voor details en comfort. De ruimtes zijn ruim en licht (niet vanzelfsprekend voor Nederland). Het terras boven is heerlijk om te genieten van het zonnetje en het uitzicht op een oude watertoren. Hendrik is behulpzaam en reageert snel.

I love this place! Great host, amazing location, all the amenities and meticulous details. But first, Utrecht itself is beautiful, a lovely place to stay and well worth a visit – and this home is close enough to the train station and city that it’s very easy to get around, however, it’s far enough away that there wasn’t any street or party noise. Back to the home – you are genuinely staying in someone’s home, just how Airbnb was meant to be! It was so well organised, personal items were packed away so we had plenty of space and everything just worked and we felt right at home, because we were. Everything was perfect and we especially loved Sophie, the other host (cat). She was adorable and friendly and we have no doubt she would have fixed any issues if we had any. Thanks for a great stay! We highly recommend it and would stay here again!

The most perfect little house in Maarssen! Located about 20 minutes via bus/train from Utrecht and 30 minutes from Amsterdam, this gorgeous abode was a piece of heaven after a day of exploring! Upon arrival I was greeted by a few friendly chickens wandering the property and Ewoud, who made me feel right at home with not only great recommendations for Maarssen but helpful incite for bus information/apps and bike rentals. The house itself is so picture perfect cute! Comfy beds, relaxing bathtub, washer/dryer and a lovely outdoor space fitted with patio furniture. Keep in mind the stairs inside are rather steep and spiraling - but I found that it only added to its charm and felt like the bougie treehouse of my childhood dreams (lol). Got a chance to chat with Catelijne and Ewoud a bit on the eve of my departure and they are such wonderful hosts - would 100% recommend and would love to return!

We absolutely loved the city — it’s beautiful and peaceful. The Airbnb was a solid 11/10: stylish, spotless, and thoughtfully arranged. Petra and Erik pay close attention to the little details, which made our stay extra special. They were kind, patient, and shared helpful local tips. Honestly, the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in! We’d definitely stay here again — highly recommended!

Dieser Ort ist zauberhaft! Wir haben die Tage in dem so hübsch eingerichteten Dachgeschoss und den Tieren im Garten rundum genossen. Unsere Tochter (knapp 2 Jahre alt) hat das Spielen im Garten und das Tiere streicheln so geliebt. Wir haben uns wie in Bullerbü gefühlt! Mirjam stand uns immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite, hat jeden Tag ein frisches, super leckeres Frühstück für uns vorbereitet und uns Fahrräder geliehen. :-) Ganz große Empfehlung!!

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit einem bezaubernden Garten. Jonathan empfing uns herzlich beim check-in und war während des gesamten Aufenthaltes ein fürsorglicher Gastgeber. Die Unterkunft ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, verfügt über alles, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht und strahlt eine herrliche Ruhe und Behaglichkeit aus. Das Bett ist super gemütlich und bietet einen sehr schönen Blick auf den kleinen Garten - so macht das Aufwachen Freude. Direkt neben der Unterkunft befindet sich ein kleines Café und auch ein Bäcker - also ist alles da für einen guten Start in den Tag. Die Umgebung der Unterkunft ist ebenfalls sehr hübsch und entspannt und lädt zum Schlendern ein. Die Stadt lässt sich von der Unterkunft sehr schön zu Fuß erkunden. Ich kann die Unterkunft wärmstens jedem empfehlen und würde sie wieder buchen, wenn ich mal wieder im hübschen Utrecht wäre. Vielen Dank an Dich, lieber Jonathan, und auch an Deine Tochter!

We hebben zó genoten van ons verblijf! Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien en voelt heel luxe aan. De keuken is ruim en volledig uitgerust – we hebben er met veel plezier gekookt. Ook de douche en het hele huis zijn comfortabel en ruim opgezet. Het uitzicht op het groen was echt fantastisch. Je komt meteen tot rust. Elke ochtend en vaak in de avond maakten we een wandeling door het mooie bos met bijzondere vogels en herten. De host was ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij. Altijd in voor een praatje en we vonden het erg gezellig. Als we iets lekker vonden ruiken, kregen we spontaan iets te proeven, zo lief en attent! Kortom: dit is een absolute aanrader, of je nu een paar dagen of langer wilt verblijven. We komen hier graag nog eens terug.

“My stay at Evert’s place was 10/5 stars. The location is wonderful - right on the canal, down the street from a lovely cafe and flower shop and central to popular and nontouristy attractions alike. Evert is a wonderful and warm host who has meticulously curated a beautiful and homey flat. He provides extensive resources on the artistic hidden gems of Amsterdam within the flat’s book collection, which I found helpful and charming. The flat is on the second floor of the building owned by Evert and looks onto the canal. Evert welcomed me and showed me how to access the property so I could come and go as I pleased and had the independence and privacy that I desired. Would be a dream to stay here again.

Wir waren äußerst zufrieden. Tolle Gastgeberin und absolute gute Kommunikation. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und gemütlich. Tolle Ausstattung, so dass wir uns gleich wie zuhause gefühlt haben. Gerne kommen wir wieder. Noch mal vielen Dank für alles Claudia

The apartment was lovely and cozy, with plenty of useful amenities that made our stay comfortable. The host was very kind and responsive, which we really appreciated. Overall, the place was clean and well-maintained, though the bedsheets could use a refresh. The beds are very soft (something to keep in mind depending on your preference). Despite these minor points, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!

Nanda’s place is very spacious and comfortable, with lovely large windows and all the facilities you would need. The apartment is on the first floor (no lift!) with the hosts’ living area on the ground floor and bedrooms on the second floor. Easy 5 minute walk to buses, just 3 stops to Central Utrecht. Nanda was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. Recommended!

We loved every second of our stay. Jonathan was quick to respond to our queries and offered great recommendations. The space was light and airy with everything needed to cook at home where necessary. We loved every second - and we were really sad when we had to leave a day early to avoid the train strike.

Das Haus liegt in einer wunderschönen und ruhigen Umgebung. Es ist für Naturliebhaber leicht zu erreichen und dennoch nur 25 Minuten vom Stadtzentrum Amsterdams entfernt. Wir vermissten lediglich eine größere Spüle zum Abwaschen des Frühstücksgeschirrs. Insgesamt war es aber eine sehr sympathische Erfahrung.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in dieser Unterkunft direkt am Strand. Die Lage ist traumhaft und die Gegend bietet viele Möglichkeiten zur Erholung und zum Erkunden. Die Gastgeber waren ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit – ihre Tipps für Ausflüge und Aktivitäten waren sehr wertvoll. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr luxuriös eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können diese Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen!

My family of four stayed at Max’s place for four nights. The location is great, with just about an hour’s drive to many popular destinations in Holland. The view of the lake from the balcony was beautiful. The apartment was clean and spacious. We truly enjoyed our stay in this quiet and peaceful neighborhood, and we will recommend it to our friends and family if they visit Holland in the future.

Wonderful space! Beautiful interior, very well equipped for everything you might need over a long weekend stay. Marina was lovely, very helpful and communicative. The bed was extremely comfortable, location excellent, every part of the space is well thought out and would highly recommend it to anyone!

We had a great time in this sweet apartment. We loved sitting in the living room overlooking the canal and appreciated the great shower and overall layout of the apartment. The location is fantastic. Very residential and more peaceful than other parts of the city we have been to. We highly recommend it!

Perfekt gelegene Wohnung von der man abends einen traumhaften Sonnenuntergang genießen kann. Die Beachbars liegen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Zum Zentrum sind es ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß. Ein Pluspunkt ist der zur Wohnung gehörende und auf dem Grundstück liegende Parkplatz. Wir können das stilvoll eingerichtete Beachhouse auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

This place was wonderful! It was just as described. We enjoyed listening to the birds (wild parakeets and others) as we sat on the balcony in the mornings. The stairs are steep and narrow but that is just part of being in Amsterdam. One thing to note, there are 2 showers, 2 sinks, but only 1 toilet. It didn’t cause any problem for me, but those staying in the first floor bedroom will have to climb up stairs in the middle of the night. Overall, I highly recommend!

Our stay with MorningStar in Amsterdam was absolutely exceptional. The home was pristine, beautifully designed, and full of luxurious touches that made our three-night stay unforgettable. We arrived to find thoughtful treats like fresh fruit and chocolate waiting for us—such a warm welcome! The location was perfect: central, quiet, and incredibly walkable, which made it easy for our family of four to explore the city. Every detail exceeded our expectations. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—highly recommend!
