Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Big Rideau Lake

Our stay was more than we could have asked for. This Airbnb is a hidden gem. We’ve been to many Airbnbs all over the world, and I can tell you this one is really special. The garden is very spacious, with friendly little cows in the background. The inside is also spacious thanks to the beautiful high ceilings. The decor and original church aesthetic they kept makes you feel at home. The outdoor annex for extra guests is so cozy and cute!! it really comes in handy if you are more than two. This Airbnb truly has everything a household needs, from bug spray to doggy bags. We’re usually honest and critical about Airbnbs, and we don’t shy away from pointing out things that could be improved, but with this one, we truly have nothing bad to say. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Angela's place is great for a group getaway, she was helpful and easy to communicate with.

This was the quiet, relaxing trip we needed. Such a beautiful little home, in such a serene and peaceful setting... Exactly as described and listed. They were also so nice, polite, and welcoming. We ended up at their restaurant for lunch one day as well, and it was such a lovely time.

An awesome place to stay. Loved the fact that we all had queen size, very comfortable beds. It was so nicely decorated , clean, organized and had everything you would need. The place exuded warmth, was inviting, and although it was big, felt very cozy. Lana was an exceptional host, friendly yet professional, easy to contact and quick to respond, helpful and truly wanted her guests to have a wonderful, fun and relaxing holiday. The golf course was great and the fishing excellent!

Great spot, our team stayed here and had plenty of good things to say about it. Well priced, good location, clean spot. Will definitely book again if we’re back in the area!

Everything was perfect ! The chalet is beautiful and the view amazing. Riley has been extremely helpful and responsive for everything we needed. His place is well furnished and very tidy which was highly appreciated ! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend and would love to come back.

This is a magical place. We spent as much time as we could on the screened in patio because of the view, wildlife and relaxation without bugs. The living space was beautiful and functional, so well stocked of essentials and more. It felt like we were visiting friends who were happy that we were there. Great communication, very welcoming. We found the location to be a nice balance of wilderness and close enough to towns for needs. It was a great spot for us as we toured through all the towns outside of Ottawa. This area of the world is beautiful. And there are no better hosts than Julie and Tony.

This is an absolutely stunning space with all of the amenities that we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Their Airbnb was immaculate and had so many extras just in case we needed anything, it was truly above and beyond :) I actually got ready for my wedding here with my bridesmaids and Erin & Sadiq were super flexible in allowing my hair and makeup artists to come into the space too. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area!

We loved Maggie's place for the space and cleanliness. Great location within walking distance of downtown Kingston. Easy access and very comfortable and quiet.

The place was lovely! As well, Randa was extremely helpful in making local recommendations, and very quick to respond to any questions we had. An excellent host!

We had a relaxing stay . Sid met us at front door and even though it was on the second floor Sid carried my bags upstairs for me . On Sid’s recommendation we went straight to a lovely Italian restaurant across road . The kitchen was very good and stove easy to manage . Bath towels lovely and soft with a beautiful smell. I stayed for a week during a rotation in Ottawa and it was a great place to relax and decompress after a long shift. The unit itself was very clean and comfortable, exactly as seen in the pictures. Trudy was very responsive, kind and helpful. It is a basement unit, so I could occasionally hear noise and movement from upstairs, but it was always quiet by the time I needed to go to bed. I would recommend this to others and would rebook it myself if I needed to return to Ottawa! Highly recommend!

Rob and Shari's place was incredible! A beautiful, updated loft with lots of space, modern amenities, and wonderful little touches that made our stay feel very luxurious. Rob and Shari were so kind, welcoming and responsive. We will definitely return when we're back in the area!

Sean is a wonderful host. His million dollar home is incredibly well stocked with all the amenities. I think we’re the first Snowy, Winter review …. and we definitely rate it 5 Stars like all the warm weather reviews. The lovely fireplace glows throughout the massive living room, and our Christmas Dinner at the huge dining table was epic! The house has a magnificent heating system; even single digit outdoor temperatures were no problem for it. Sean deserves his Super Host status …. He didn’t mind me texting & calling him for restaurants and various instructions … a truly nice fellow. The house is a bit hidden away but its views and grandeur are unmatched. We definitely want to return in the summer to take advantage of its magnificent waterfront location. Thank you Sean for trusting us with your mansion!

Perfect Airbnb for a larger group. The layout of the home uses the space well! The home is in a more family friendly quieter neighborhood and we would 100% stay again

Terry's place is very beautiful, spacious and clean. We were 7 adults and a baby and we had lots of space. The bedrooms are very big with nice comfortable beds. The linens and towels were very good quality. He provided a crib and a high chair for our baby which was great. The kitchen is great, we cooked all our meals the entire time we were there. Lots of grocery stores around. The house backs into a ravine with a beautiful walking trail which we enjoyed. The deck is very nice and we enjoyed sitting outside. This is a great place, we will stay there again if we are in the Ottawa area.

The house was very spacious for my family. Unfortunately we did not get to really hang out and use all the amenities at the house as we arrived at 7:30pm and left at 8 am the next day. The house is off the main road and close to many things. Kitchen had a lot of space for food and drinks and very clean. There is a living space upstairs and downstairs to accommodate a large family that wants to watch different things on the two massive tv’s. Overall a very good space to host large families.

Cozy Room in Rebecca's home was perfect for my weekend getaway. It was very clean and Rebecca was an excellent host.

We had an unforgettable experience during our stay and look forward to returning next year. The island was beautiful, the many different houses accommodated our large group and each family of the 5 that went had their own space to unwind. The kitchen was beautiful and made meal prep and cooking so easy. The kida had lots to do with basketball, board games, mini pool tables, hot tub and the highlight was definitely the swimming. The water was great, warm and clear at any given time during the day and the kids had so much fun jumping off the docks, using the paddle boats and the canoes. We all had such a great time and are so thankful to Marla and Sherri-an employee who helped us when we checked in and checked out- Sherri was a great help, kind, friendly, hospitable and even recommended a different cottage with less steps for next year that I will definitely look into because it was a beautiful experience. Don't think twice about booking your stay here my family and I loved it!

We were so grateful to have an affordable place for our large family to gather comfortably in the winter. The large private property was a real asset as we had lots of kids in our group who like to play outside and this let the adults have some peaceful moments together. The kitchen’s had everything we needed. The houses were clean and uncluttered, yet cozy. All the furniture was useful and practical. Robin was responsive and helpful. We will definitely be returning one day.
