Lake side house rentals in Big Lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The lake provided a lot of entertainment for us when we were just hanging out at the house. We used the 2 kayaks and canoe quite a bit to fish or just paddle around the lake. The swans were out a few times too. We also enjoyed making s’mores in the really nice fire pit (bring your own s’mores ingredients & firewood). The kitchen was well stocked for cooking with lots of appliances provided. Beds were very comfy! 2 bedrooms had an amazing view of the lake (master and one queen), while the other 2 rooms had televisions. The master bathroom was very spacious and had dual shower heads. Make sure to follow the directions Daniel provides when checking in because Google Maps does not have an accurate location for the house, but we found out that Apple Maps worked great. Location was good, only 10 minutes from stores and restaurants, but felt very secluded and peaceful. Would absolutely stay here again if we ever find ourselves back in Alaska!

There aren’t adequate words to say for Troy’s place! It is amazingly beautiful and relaxing. He has done an excellent job of decorating and proving necessities for a stay. The beds were very comfortable. Be easy with the heat… it feels amazing on my feet (floor heated) but it will warm up very well… cools off slowly. I just wished I had planned on staying longer. Definitely #1 on our list.

Allison's place is amazing! Gorgeous setting with canoe, kayak and fishing that kept our kids.. ages 8 & 11... entertained all weekend while the adults relaxed on the dock in the sunshine! The inside of the house was pretty and well maintained!There is only one bathroom. But for the 5 of us, we hot along fine. Allison was very responsive to questions. A great host with a great place to make memories. Thanks, Allison!

Very comfortable. There was a big construction work going on all around the place, but it didn't much disturb us. It's incredible that the airport close to the place doesn't disturb at all.

My family and I loved this lake house. The home was incredibly clean and organized. The beds were super comfy and the toiletry amenities were high quality. We spent the morning on the lake in the paddle boats and saw lots of trout! Laurie was super friendly and gave great instructions for check in. Highly recommend this place.

I couldn't stay up late enough for the sunset, but the morning mist in the lake was breathtaking. I would recommend this place for the view, the comfort and the cleanliness.

Cabin was easy to get to. It is far away from everything, but the directions were spot on. Cabin was clean and Big Lake is gorgeous at New Years.

This house was stunning— inside and out. What a great view for Alaska! The space had a modern aesthetic—clean lines, comfortable furniture, and thoughtful touches throughout. The bed was super comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed (plus a few extras). Check-in was smooth, and the host was friendly and responsive. If you're looking for a place with an incredible view, clean and modern vibes, and a peaceful atmosphere, this is it. I’d absolutely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time. What a beautiful lake and a wonderful hot tub! The cabin was so homey and had everything we needed. We enjoyed building a fire in the stove and watching movies while overlooking a beautiful lake. We would recommend this cabin and Shanna was very helpful!

We loved staying out here! Not too far out of Anchorage but felt like such a relaxing sanctuary. Beautifully remodeled cabin that was very comfortable and cozy.

All I can say about this BnB is WOW! The view was stunning, the host was the absolute sweetest and we had a beautiful time! We had 12 people and it accommodated us all with room to spare! We used the space as a bachelor and bachelorette party and it was the most beautiful place that I think we could have chose! It was secluded but not too far away from stores and other amenities! 10 out of 10 would recommend everyone to stay here for their visit to willow!

We spent two weeks in Alaska, sleeping in a different location every night. This our favorite place. The hosts are wonderful people. We are an outdoor family on vacations so we don’t spend much time inside while traveling. This is a location that you could spend multiple days, if you want to slow a family trip down or it could also be a great place for couples to enjoy some peace and quiet. Thank you to the hosts for great conversation when we were leaving, that was the icing on the cake for the memorable time that we had at your place. P.S. The pike were biting in the lake.

Great place! Beautiful surroundings. Easy drive to pretty much anywhere as we drove to Anchorage, Seward and Willow as well as locally to Wasilla and Palmer. Super clean including furniture, carpet and rugs. Comfortable beds. We look forward to staying again! Thanks for sharing this amazing place!

Our family of five plus two grandparents just spent 5 nights at Mary Jane’ s place in Willow. We had an absolute blast. We drove an hour north to hike the Curry Ridge Trail with beautiful views of Denali national park. Then we went to Snowhook Adventures, about 10 minutes away, for a dog sled and Utv tour. This was a blast! The next day, we mined for gold near Talkeetna and took a train ride and jet boat tour with Mahay’s. The next day, we hiked ThunderBird Falls. All about an hour or less away. So the house was centrally located for all our adventures. Regarding the house, it was so ,comfortable, welcoming and nice and clean! I have never stayed in an Airbnb that had all the amenities that I value so readily available. Bear spray and water bottles for hikes, sharp knives, plenty of paper towels, laundry and cleaning supplies. I can’t recommend Mary Jane as a host and this property enthusiastically enough! Thanks so much for the great time!!

Beautiful & peaceful cabin. We came with our two kids for a birthday get away, they had a blast walking down to the river and playing on the deck with their toys! We look forward to future stays!

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The entire place was spotless — incredibly clean and well-maintained. All the equipment and amenities were not only fully stocked but also in perfect condition and very clean. The house itself felt warm, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, making it both comfortable and practical for everyday use. The host was also very kind and helpful, which made the experience even better. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-equipped place to stay.

Took a boys trip with 3 friends and I selected Susanna’s home as our second choice as our first choice had raised the price of rental. This was easily the best decision we made. Susanna’s home in Wasilla was a prime location for our boys trip as we were able to adventure in any direction and enjoy amazing sights without having to drive an extra hour if you’re staying in downtown Anchorage. I was impressed with all of the amenities offered by Susannas home. The kitchen was very spacious and was stocked with every seasoning we could need. It often became our central gathering area of the house. Another treat to be able to view the Aurora Borealis from the comfort of the outside deck. Huddling around the fire pit was also very calming during these snowy nights. Overall, I would say this home is excellent place for you and your family (or friends) to stay if you want to enjoy the natural beauty of Lower Alaska without having to drive too far. The house was perfect! So comfortable, clean, and stocked. Close to hiking and biking trails as well as beautiful Hatcher Pass. The beds were comfortable and views were gorgeous. We did not want to leave!
