Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Bay of Plenty Region

The main house was very comfortable, and the guest house was a perfect retreat for our 14-year-old son—he absolutely loved having his own space. One of the highlights of our stay was the sunroom - stunning views and a peaceful place to unwind.

We had an amazing stay. The images in the listing do not do it justice. Gorgeous location, beautiful home and amazing hosts. We Will absolutely be back.

Amy’s place was absolutely amazing! My twi friends and I stayed for a long weekend as we were competing in a crossfit competition ober Matariki weekend in the Mount. Amy’s place was everything we expected and more! It was in a nice quiet neighbourhood with an awesome restaurant just down the road. Being winter time it was super warm and cozy. Every bedroom had it’s own heatpump. We also found some foldout beach chairs and a picnic rug which we used to take to our competition to relax on in between our events. The kitchen was well equipped with all the things including a cute little snack jar. The place was so clean and tidy and we loved all the decor and details it made us feel really at home and was a great place to relax. We would recommend Amy’s place to anyone travelling to Papamoa, Tauranga or the Mount. We would love to stay again in the summer time and go to the beach so I will have to bring my whānau one day. Thanks Amy, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Exceeded all expectations! Super cozy and clean with so many thoughtful touches. Such a cold time of the year but when we arrived the house had been thoughtfully warmed up with the fire going to keep us warm! Stunning views and a private space. Anna is an amazing host, one of my favourite stays

The Starling Box is definitely the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in! Janina is an exceptional host - she gave us a lovely, warm welcome and showed us all around her beautiful, modern home. The home itself is clean, well appointed and has all the comforts of home. We appreciated the extra touches that are evident throughout the house that make everything cozy and comfy - from warm blankets to a well kitchen stocked with delicious breakfast items, coffee, tea and snacks. The space is peaceful and inviting, and you can feel the love that went into every detail of this fantastic Airbnb. Thank you Janina, for welcoming us with open arms and making our stay in Rotorua so wonderful. We will definitely be back!

This house was exactly what we were looking for as a family of 5. The home was clean when we arrived and stocked with everything we needed. The provided sports equipment and access to the school court and field was a bonus! My children loved playing tennis & running around in the open field. The spa was well kept with clear instructions & our host was very easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend this home & will glady stay here again. Loved walking up with the beautiful scenery! The place is well looked after, feels like home! it's also a perfect base if travelling towards Taupo, Rotorua or Hamilton! Very responsive hosts as well. highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lots of space, great location and the kids loved looking at the toys on the shelf! We arrived later than we planned but John still came down and showed us around. Highly recommend staying here!

Great stay. The apartment was pristine and well laid out. Had absolutely everything we would need, lots of little extras. Great location. Corner store and takeaways 2 minutes walk. 2 minutes walk to beach access. Hot pools 10 minute drive. Hosts Mark and Cheryl super helpful and welcoming. Enjoyed our overnight stay.

We had an amazing weekends at Steph’s place. The view from the balcony to the beach was absolutely stunning and loved that we could walk to all the restaurants and shops as well. Apartment was super clean and tidy and perfect for the two us ! 😊

I really recommend staying at Barb's place, it's got everything you would need for a short or longer stay. There's lots to do in the area and Barb gave some great recommendations and helpful information. As a host Barb is the best I've ever had, fast response time, friendly and very helpful, she really goes above and beyond!

We had an amazing four night stay here. The apartment was excellently furnished, the location effectively on the lakefront was fantastic and the outlook across the lake to Mount Tarawera was beautiful. We could not have wished for more. Thank you Murray for being such a great host

We had a great stay at Cath’s place. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Cath was very friendly and made me feel welcome right away, which really added a personal touch to the experience. The location was convenient and quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay.
