Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Basilicata

Phenomenal location with beautiful views. Accommodations were great and communication with host was easy. I locked us out of the apartment and host was there very quickly to let us in. We rented a car and the parking is quite expensive and confusing, which our host notified us about. I would definitely recommend Daniela’s place and would come back again. It’s a very local feel, but close enough to be in the “thick of things”.

I highly recommend this beautiful house in Matera, it’s so cozy and in the perfect location. The view from the terrace is so amazing! Giuseppe is a wonderful host, very responsive and he let us check in early, which was great because my small kids were tired. Thanks so much for everything!

We had an incredible stay at Giovanna's place. It is located a few footsteps from an amazing view of the Sassi di Matera. Truly magical every time we stepped outside and easy access to walk down further and deeper. It is a traditional cave type dwelling however it is very clean and comfortable with 2 bathrooms with nice showers and a comfortable large bed. It has a decent kitchen for self-catering and a small table with chairs outside to enjoy some wine in the evening. It was nice and cool inside during the day when we were experiencing 30+ temperatures. Giovanna was a great communicator and was swift to reply to messages and generally easy-going. La Habitat was one of the best accommodations I've ever had, very comfy, great location and allowed us to dive into Sassi's atmosphere.

C’est un superbe appartement décoré avec goût ! C’est grand, bien équipé et la galerie offre une jolie coup d’œil sur les Sassi. La cuisine permet de faire des repas léger car petite (mais tout de même bien équipé). Tout était parfaitement propre et les draps sentait bon :) Il y a beaucoup de restaurant très près et aussi des épiceries. Nous avons apprécié les petites attentions et la gentillesse des hôtes ! Souvenir inoubliable ! Merci :)

Wir waren ein paar Tage in AnnaLisas und Beppes Unterkunft und es war wunderbar! Schon im Voraus haben wir alle nötigen Infos und Antworten bekommen, die unsere Ankunft benötigten. Wir sind mit dem Mietwagen angereist und hatten keine Probleme, die Adresse zu finden und einen Parkplatz zu bekommen (es gibt direkt vor dem Haus kostenfreie und kostenpflichtige - 50Ct/Stunde - Parkplätze. Die Wohnung ist hell und sehr sauber und es gab alles, was wir für unseren Aufenthalt von ein paar Tagen brauchten. Vor allem die Lage direkt an der historischen Innenstadt ist sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man zu Fuß etwas die Umgebung erkunden möchte. Die Altstadt ist wunderschön und es herrscht eine freundlich-offene Atmosphäre. Besonders die historischen Bäckereien und vielen Konditoreien sollte man auf jeden Fall erkunden. Wir hatten eine sehr entspannte Zeit und würden jederzeit wieder kommen! Absolute Empfehlung!

Luciano is awesome, the apartment is awesome, and Matera is awesome. We stayed for 6 nights and loved every minute! The view of the Sassi from the small balcony is something we spent hours enjoying and will never forget. It was fun to stay in a cave and yet enjoy modern amenities. Luciano left us great reading material about Matera and made excellent recommendations for food and sight seeing. We would not hesitate to stay again if we are lucky enough to come to Italy again. Thank you, Luciano, for giving us the opportunity to experience such a magical place.

EXCEPTIONNEL EXCEPTIONNEL EXCEPTIONNEL Le logement est magnifique, propre, bien décoré, tres classe, tres qualitatif. Il est à deux pas des Sassis et de toutes les animations. Il est calme, et vous pouvez même entendre les croassements des grenouilles en bas de la vallee. La terrasse est MAGNIFIQUE, la vue sur Matera est EXCEPTIONNELLE et ENCORE PLUS DE NUIT!!! Pas la peine d'aller dans un bar en rooftop. Le mieux est de se prendre un apéritif directement de la terrasse d'Imma... la vue est à coupée le souffle. Nous avons été accueilli par le mari et l'adorable fille d'Imma qui nous on tout expliqué et qui nous avait même gardé une place de parking gratuite à moins de 100m du logement. Restez AU MINIMUM 2 nuits pour pouvoir profiter de Matera de nuit et pour faire la randonnée en face de Matera en passant par le pont de singe Merci a Imma et à sa famille Et à tous les voyageurs: FONCEZ chez Imma, c'est là où il faut être à Matera car encore une fois le logement est INCROYABLE

Bruna’s place was so beautiful! We had a lovely stay. We loved the location and Matera is magical.

Beautiful place that is very close to the city center and all of the sights of Matera. You can walk everywhere from the apartment. We especially appreciated private parking, where we could keep our car safe. The host was proactive, helped us park on arrival, and very responsive. Excellent experience, would absolutely stay again.

Eliana welcomed us with a thorough tour of her apartment and some great ideas of what to do in the area. She supplied a handy map with walking tours illustrated. The apartment has a quirky layout and a spacious bedroom. It was great to have access to the outdoor space to enjoy our wine and cheese. Though we had to get used to all the steps of the town, Matera and its surroundings are really magical. Since we were there for three days and four nights, we were glad to have our own kitchen and so handy to have access to her potable water dispenser in both still and sparkling options. It was also great to find a small supermarket at the top of the street just a few minutes away! We certainly got lost in the sassi several times, but that's all part of the experience. And the hike across the gorge to the caves on the opposite side was more than worth it. I've been to Europe many times, and I think this is one of the most unique places I've stayed. Thanks for the memories :)

I stayed for a few days at Anna's place with my dog. It was wonderful! Right in the middle of nature in a small village, there are plenty of trails to hike around this area. Anna and her family were incredibly friendly. Anna even took the time to show me around the village and its church! The apartment is very cozy, with a beautiful wood stove. I highly recommend!

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich sehr ästhetisch & schön eingerichtet. Schöne Möbel - schöner Look. Die Unterkunft war sauber & das Bett ist wie - meine Vorgänger schon schrieben - wirklich sehr angenehm & bequem. Die Klimaanlage kühlt die Unterkunft schnell ab - allerdings nur so lange die Zimmerkarte eingesteckt ist. Wir haben an unserem Abend in der Unterkunft gekocht, kein großartiges Equipment vorhanden, aber völlig ausreichend für einen Abend. Alles da, was man braucht. Die Unterkunft kann man nur weiterempfehlen. Tolles Airbnb! & wunderbare Anweisungen für den Check-In. Dank der Bilder findet man es blitzschnell. & vielen Dank für die PDF-Empfehlungen in der Umgebung, die man on top noch zugeschickt bekommt. Kommunikation war wunderbar & sehr kompetent. Bis Bald!

Nicola was an excellent host. He is friendly and responded instantly to any queries. The apartment is situated about 15 minutes walk from the centre and just a few minutes from the supermarket. There are lime scooters throughout the city if you prefer not to walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had no issues. Thank you Nicola!

From start to finish, Nico & Antonio were amazing hosts. Great communication and very responsive to our needs. We had a power outage during our stay and even though it was a Sunday evening, we had an electrician come to fix the issue within 5 minutes. The accomodation is clean & comfortable, although we preferred to sleep downstairs on the sofa bed for easier access to the bathroom during the night. Nico & Antonio were friendly & helpful and we cannot recommend them enough. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great spot! Check In was really easy and Luigi was proactive making sure check in was seamless. Wi-Fi was strong, spacious apartment and right next to grocery store. Plenty of street parking and short 10-12 minutes walk to downtown - was nice after eating pasta 🍝 at dinner . We stayed for one night after a week long puglia road trip, exactly what we needed
