La Casa del Mestre is a small, magical corner in the heart of the mountain, located a few meters from a small village called Aielo de Rugat. In each of its two independent rooms, we offer you the possibility of spending a few days as a couple or with the family in the middle of nature and enjoying the pleasure of discovering yourselves between routes, silence, readings, activities, rest, sports... you decide. The house (built between 1910-1920) is one of the few traditional Mediterranean-style buildings in the area that has been preserved and has not been demolished in order to build apartment blocks. The spirit of the house is humble and simple, although from the first moment you cross the entrance gate, its cozy and unique essence invades you. This unique character can be seen in every detail around you and in every corner of the house.

El Descanso del Monje

The house was built by the Cistercian monks in 1723. Its walls are 150 cm thick on the ground floor and there is peace and quiet inside it. In ancient times it was a resting place for monks and country workers and shepherds covered their animals in the construction pens. It is oriented to the Mediterranean, and through its windows you can feel the cool breeze that blows from the sea: warm in the winter, cool in the summer.
