The Birchview Suite lower level duplex is totally closed off from guests in upper level. It features two french doors that lead out to the large flagstone patio area, which is the main entrance. There's a full kitchen for you to prepare meals. We have a private dock 1/4 mile from the cottage and offer complementary use of kayaks, row boats, and canoes! We also have a pontoon for rent. Plenty of hiking and biking opportunities can be found on and off the resort. State Trails are also nearby.

Rich's place was a wonderful place to stay. It was a great place to relax and there was plenty of room. I would have been able to enjoy the lake more had it not been rainy and cold but sitting out in the glassed-in patio was fantastic. Lots of birds around the area. I would love to stay there again if I am in the area.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. It was so quiet and peaceful. There is an eagle’s nest right across from the balcony and it was fun to watch the pair of eagles go about their day. The condo has everything you need from kitchen wares to toiletries. Rice Lake is a little under 30 minutes away and has a Walmart. Birchwood is much closer and they do have a Dollar General which is where we got most of our groceries. The grounds are beautiful. We did not utilize the pool/hot tub so I can’t speak on those. We would definitely stay here again!

The Birchview suite was a super cute cottage! Everything was provided and it made it easy to cook and live comfortably. The only thing I want to bring up to others looking to rent here, be sure to read the description carefully. Unfortunately we didn’t realize there would be another family downstairs. Our mistake for not reading it carefully. I was uncomfortable using the deck or fire pit area knowing there were others right downstairs. We also worried about making too much noise with the tv or walking around in the early am. It would be a great place to rent with a big family where you know who is downstairs. But other than that it’s a great place to stay!

I can't say enough about this little gem and the host. Out the front door is a 2 block walk to the shops, restaurants and stores downtown, out the back door is a beautiful lake with a private dock to call your own. The cabin is just that, a cabin built in the '20's, it is small and quaint, but full of history and love. For what we wanted, it was perfect. We were able to relax and we thoroughly enjoyed hearing Sharon's stories of growing up next door. The description and pictures are very accurate so we knew before arriving what to expect. Our 4 night stay was just about perfect here.

The cottage was lovely with many amenities. It was very inviting with a warm and cozy atmosphere. It was clean with upgrades that were appreciated. The outside was private with a very functional dock. The fishing was the best we have experienced in our nearly 10 yrs. of vacationing at various locations in Chetek. Our host was helpful and available when needed. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

Very beautiful area, lots of marshland in front of the Turtle cottage. Lots of wild flowers to take pictures of, hiking to the lake where the boats are but too steep to get them in the water, bonfires, listening to the sand hill cranes, geese, frogs, birds, and peepers all day and night. We had a great stay just too short, hopefully next year, can stay longer.
