Vacation rentals with lake access in Bar Municipality

Srdjan and his wife are so nice. They waited for us laaaate in the night of our arrival, and still took the time to welcome us properly. They are very friendly and there were fruits and vegetables from the garden for us to eat, such a sweet attention. The house is greatly located if you seek peace and quiet, we loved to be in the mountain for a few days. The terrace has a great view and there were cats and turtles in the garden :). Thank you both again!

Really interesting house, very spacious with a great view over a lake. Listened to lots of birds and frogs at night. WiFi very fast. Well equipped kitchen. Very quiet and peaceful as well.

If you are looking for a remote and beautiful place by the lake this place is perfect. Lidija and her family are kind and made us wonderful food and drinks for a weekend and showed us great hospitality. We got picked up by boat (make sure you don’t take too much baggage when you go) and had a little tour on the lake which was amazing. There was some issues with electricity but they quickly fixed it for us and we had a comfortable stay!

Lazar's house is a country gem in Skutari Lake. The view, the house and all the amenities are great. The only downside is the narrow and winding road to get there, but certainly that's nobody's fault. So highly, highly recommended 😉

Nikola’s place is beautiful! The house has so many different spaces to hang out, it is very well equipped, and is well located right next to Shkodër Lake. They also helped us book a private boat tour on the lake, which we really enjoyed. I completely recommend this place and hope to be back :)

We enjoyed our stay. Zoran's place was tastefully decorated, with a lovely balcony and view. Although not really set-up for cooking, there were many lovely restaurants around. We were very comfortable for the time of year we were there (Autumn).

Wow. I don’t even know how to describe the phenomenal experience we had here. This feels more like staying with family then it does an Airbnb. The hosts are incredibly kind and friendly, even with a language barrier we were able to connect and felt incredibly welcomed. The space is gorgeous, big and bright with a beautiful porch overlooking the village and out to the lake in the distance. We ate dinner prepared by the family which was delightful (bring cash!), the homemade wine was delicious, and the highlight was certainly the boat tour and conversations had with our hosts. Truly a unique and special time, and well worth driving the fairly stressful mountain road to reach the accommodation. Also, the family dachshund Jerry is great! I would recommend this experience to anyone seeking to explore this beautiful area and authentic connection with locals. A true gem.

Thank you very much to Mirzaya, the house was great, I felt like I was at home, the house was very clean and everything you needed was in it, it was very easy to find the location of the house, from the iron to the washing machine, there is no shortage of parking. The bus stops are 15 minutes away. You can ask anything you want.

A lovely spot on the river with a amazing restaurant on your doorstep! The place was good value for money, however there were quite a lot of bugs in the room and it is a difficult place to get to if you don’t have a car! But once you are there it is very peaceful and beautiful

Very helpful and kind hosts. We arrived pretty late by train and the host's mother picked us up by car. The room had everything we needed. They even allowed us to leave our luggage in the room after check-out and pick it up later. Just remember to be careful on the road when walking to the lake. However, after a few minutes there is a small path you can take that is much safer. Would definitely visit again.

Great place, and great host. Simple but has all you need. The terrace is a great plus and the surrounding is just beautiful.

There was a little shortage of😁 garbage cans, a mop, a washing machine, but for the price, it was very worth it! They were very nice, they served very delicious food and drink! The view was very good, full of hungry cute cats😹 overall, it was very good to recommend

Stay at Take a Lake was one of a kind experience. The apartment itself was modern and clearly recently renovated. There’s a lot of space, enough to accomodate about 4-5 people, air conditioning in every room, kichenette with everything you need and even a washing machine. But what makes this place unique is the owner- Ognjen. He was incredibly hospitable and helpful. We spent some time together and learned a lot about the region and history of the country. I highly recommend to have a breakfast (extra €5 per person) which is prepared by Ognjen’s mother from their own products. Also, you may have an opportunity to try amazing homemade wine and jams. The location is a bit remote, so the car is a must. It’s also problematic to find at first, but Ognjen came to the main road to guide us. Highly recommended place to experience something unique and be close to the nature.

That was amazing! Mirjana her husband and her son were the best hosts I ever had. Sweet, welcoming and very warm hearted. Our communication was good even though we didn't speak the language. The food they offered to us, was honestly the best we had on our trip and freshly made. They loved to have a chat with us but also absolutely respected our private sphere. The location of the flat is in the middle of beautiful nature surrounded by mountains. The wonderful Shkodra Lake is also not far away. 10/10 experience with wonderful people. It is amazing modern village life experience. Houseowner is wonderful and will do everything to make you feel at home. He is always ready to help you with anything and he is very friendly.

It is an honor for us to give the first review for this place! The property is a stone's throw from the picturesque village on a slight hill. The view from the terrace is a dream, the accommodation itself is totally cozy and clean, everything you need is there. An oasis to come down. The communication with Milica was great😍 without her advice and support we would have ended up in the swamp (since we originally planned a hike from Virpazar (at the end of May part of the route is under water, which we did not know)). We finally arrived by boat and Milica welcomed us very kindly. Thanks for everything :) Dominique and Christian

Well-kept wooden cottage on a secondary branch of the river. Close to the beach and the main restaurants.... Lovely atmosphere... We had a great time

Such a beautiful place! Saved our holiday. So peaceful, great place to relax and take in the sun and have a swim in the river or paddle down to the beach.

The accommodation was comfortable: very tasteful, stylish, discreetly furnished. Warm light. Cozy indoors or outdoors. Kaltrina's mother on site was a warm host.

Me and my girlfriend stayed in the house for five days. It was simply amazing! The location is fully immersed in nature. The road to get there is adventurous but doable. Once we arrived we checked in easily and effortlessly. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. From the terrace we could watch the lake and the surrounding nature peacefully while sipping on a delicious tea. We contacted Milica and she was extremely responsive, helpful and kind. I would recommend this place to anyone wishing to spend a calm and relaxing time in Montenegro. Note: to reach the house it is mandatory to have a car (you can rent it at the airport, it's a 40 minute drive)

Probably one of the best sojenicas (river houses) out there! You have a lot of privacy in the garden which a lot of them lack, and the walk to the river is magical. And so close to the beach! We really enjoyed it. :)
