Koko guesthouse is absolutely fantastic! Sam is a great host with a wide knowledge of things to do in the local area & beyond. Had the privilege to try lots of delicious local cuisine. My stay at Room 27 was great! The location was just right for going to the nearby restaurants, the monkey park and the various beaches. It was quiet and peaceful at night and the bed was very comfortable. Hot water was available for showers and there is an option to get a good, full breakfast with juice and coffee for a small fee. Amadou was able to pick me up at the airport and take me back a few days later at very late hours so I didn't have to try to figure out other means of transportation. He was also available to drive me to and from the local beaches which I really appreciated. Very nice stay and very nice people. I definitely recommend staying here. As a woman traveling alone I felt very safe.

Located in a village, not very lively, there are a few hotels on this street, it is a bit deserted on the road during the day, very quiet and beautiful, suitable for vacation, very close to the beach, although the facilities are not very new, but the facilities are not very new, but it is clean and tidy, and it is very good value for money in this area.You can walk about 700/600 meters to the Pacha, take the minibus for 25d people, and transfer one or two stops to the city.

Fatou is a caring host, even getting up at 6am to check that our tour guide for the day seemed reliable. Her place was very clean, with great coffee, a nice courtyard and a fridge and fan in the room. The shower could have been a bit warmer but the room was good value for money. Fatou and her driver collected us from the bus station and she also offered to make other arrangements for us. It was easy to take a tuktuk or taxi from the end of Fatou's street to the big hotels and restaurants, or to walk during daylight hours. Overall, Fatou's place is a good base in Serrekunda, with a small shop and money exchange next door, and we enjoyed our stay.

Highly recommended! Tony, the host, and his family were very welcoming and he even picked me up by car (free of charge and happily) when I arrived at the approximate location of the accommodation, as shown by AirBnB. That approximate location is actually 900 metres from the apartment, something I have contacted AirBnB about - as it makes it a longer walk than expected if you are travelling by foot to or from the bus station at Serrekunda for the buses to/from Banjul in Gambia. The room and furnishings are nothing special but Tony's charisma, the helpfulness of his staff/family and the general ambience, including the very small swimming pool to dip in after a hot day, made it quite special.
