Big Harbour Hideaway

WandaRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Big Harbour Hideaway is situated on an inlet of the Bras D’Or Lake with little boating activity so it was quiet. The dock is very solid and does not move with the tide, there were four Adirondack chairs on the dock with a few more available near by. Across the inlet is a really nice view of gypsum cliffs. There were bald eagles and even a seal! The house felt comfy and was well stocked with toilet paper, paper towelling, tissue, garbage bags, pots and pans, cutlery, etc. The beds were quite comfortable and although there is no air conditioning the breeze off the water was all we needed to cool the bedrooms at night. Although the house is on a well there was plenty hot water and the water pressure was really good. It felt homelike and it doesn’t get better than that! There is no cable tv, but I believe you can hook up a device to it to watch movies or play games. There is a pretty serious Scrabble game on the coffee table. Baddeck is only 12-14 minutes away by car.
A wooden deck featuring two black chairs overlooks a serene bay, framed by autumn foliage in vibrant hues of orange and red. The sky is lit with soft pastel shades, indicating sunset, while the water reflects the warm colors, creating a peaceful outdoor setting.

Cabot Trail Wilderness Cabin | The Hilltop

JordynRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a beautiful property and we really enjoyed our stay! Cabin and shared bathroom were very clean. Provided firewood is such a nice added bonus! Renée was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone :) The Hilltop definitely has the steepest walk back up from the firewood and bathroom which was not an issue for us, but maybe book one of the other two cabins they have to offer if you think this might be an issue!
Two rustic farm buildings are situated amidst a serene green meadow, framed by a backdrop of trees. The structures display weathered wood exteriors and are surrounded by lush grass, set against a soft pastel sky during twilight.

Green Gables Farmhouse near Baddeck Bay

HughRating, 5 stars20 months ago
Green Gables is a beautiful place to spend a few days, close enough to Baddeck for takeaway pizza but far enough away for total peace and quiet. The house was warm, very comfortable and clean, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. It felt like we were in Anne of Green Gables!!!

The Lake House

MeghanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My husband and I had a wonderful stay in the float home. The view was beautiful!! We loved sitting out on the deck. We had a great meal at the restaurant across the street and were within walking distance to one of the best coffee shops we have been to in awhile. We would love to stay again! Kerianne was an excellent host - great communication and clear instructions.

Kidston Heights, Private One-Bdrm Apartment

LynnRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We enjoyed our stay at Jenessa’s place. It seemed like everywhere we wanted to go to in Baddeck was within walking distance. So many interesting tourist sites in addition to walking the residential streets. And people in the town were so friendly. We enjoyed the space in her unit, not having every room on top of the others. Quiet for sleeping, screened windows to protect against black flies. We’ll set-up kitchen. When we had to contact Jenessa, she was so attentive and eager to help. We’ll definitely return if we come back to Baddeck. Thanks for a great stay.
