This well equipped, fully modernised cosy fisherman's cottage sleeps up to 5 guests in the peaceful village of Avoch. The location is ideal for a relaxing break.
“A beautiful cottage in an absolutely stunningly part of the Scottish Highlands. Lots of inside space, spotlessly clean, modern with some lovely original features. Great kitchen with all the equipment you need. Large living room with TV and WiFi, but you'll never be in, as there's so much to do! Loved the log burner, even on a mild September evening. Nice touches with the shortbread and milk! The garden is a good space too, out two labradors loved it and we sat outside a few times to enjoy our lunch in the sun. The location is perfect, the smell of the sea, lovely little harbour & beach, we even saw dolphins swimming through the Firth on the day we arrived. For food and other provisions, there's the local Coop. We also travelled to Fortrose, which is only 5 minutes by car, there's a nice bakery, butchers, a larger Coop and great little cafe that does everything from a full breakfast to a decent vegan menu. We also ate at IV10, amazing food and drink, plus a great deli. Check out Fortrose cathedral whilst you're there - magical at night! Also take a visit to Rosemarkie - the long red sandy beach is great and you can walk along to Chanonry Point (you may be lucky and catch a glimpse of the local dolphin pod) and back from there. Nice friendly pub too - the Plough Inn. We have fallen in love with Avoch & the Black Isle. We highly recommend staying in this gorgeous cottage in Avoch.”
Lonnie Farmhouse. Beautiful farm house in tranquil countryside just 5 minutes drive from the airport and 10 minutes drive into town. Guests leaving Scotland for a short holiday and have booked the night before departure as well as a night on their return may leave their vehicles at my home for the duration of their holiday, at no additional cost. Please follow the directions you will be sent from me rather than following the sat nav.
“Our expectations were exceeded at this farm house! Spotless bedroom and bathroom- HUGE bathtub/shower. The view was breathtaking. We only stayed one night, but I would love to come back to stay longer. *if you are a cat lover this is a place for you* she has a little cat named Finn who loves cuddles and pets if you left the door open for her! As I was missing my fur babies this was a welcome extra!!! Do yourself a favor and go ahead and book here to stay in Inverness.”
Cromal Bank is a large detached, newish house situated on the outskirts of the pretty and historic village of Ardersier. It has tremendous views over the Inner Moray Firth towards the Black Isle in the West and into Loch Ness Monster country to the South. The Whisky and Castle trails as well as the start and finish of the NC500, are also easily accessible. We overlook Chanonry Point with it's famous Dolphins and Inverness Airport and Railway Station are only minutes away.
“John is a wonderful host. I arrived quite late at night and he still greeted me with a whisky and a beer. He clearly enjoys chatting with his Airbnb guests and learning about their travels. His place is a stone's throw from the airport which was perfect for me catching a 06:30 flight. I wish I could have spent more time at John's place.”
