Open layout with new kitchen (induction) and dining area, a living room with fireplace, as well as two bedrooms. The second bedroom is separate, right next to the entrance of the apartment. The apartment includes a balcony, loggia, roof terrace and courtyard. Close the large entrance gate behind you and enjoy the wonderful tranquility in this unique building complex.

Spacious and luminous apartment in a historical family building. Very well equipped and with care for the detail, the place is furnished in a simple but well-maintained manner. There are 2 balconies and a private covered garage, with direct access to the apartment, exclusively used by our guests. Dumenza is a quiet and authentic village in a strategic position to reach easily by car the tourist resorts of Lake Maggiore, Como and Lugano, but offers also a lot of privacy.

Quiet oasis in the wild valley

The house has been in our family for generations. The small apartment was expanded in the 70s and continuously renovated. The large garden is part of it and offers plenty of space for all kinds of things. It is nestled between Lake Maggiore and Monte Lema, on the edge of the village. The house is a good starting point for hikes in the green, untouched valley or for biking. By car, it's 10 minutes to the lake.

The residence is located a mere 6 minutes on foot from the nearest bus station, accessible via a cute forest path. However, I would advise taking a taxi or car upon your initial arrival, as the route inclines slightly and you may feel fatigued from your journey. If you arrive in the evening, it is advisable to complete your shopping in advance, as stores tend to close earlier than in urban areas. Should you find yourself in need of any items, do not hesitate to consult your hosts. I really enjoyed the house and the hosts, and I look forward to coming back!

Thank you to Christian for this very relaxing and peaceful holiday spent in this haven of peace. Everything was spotless, remarkably clean, with everything you need to cook (utensils and essentials) and very friendly touches (chocolates, coffee). We couldn't have asked for a better location to explore the lake region. Everything is very easy to access and the nights are cooler than in the valley and incredibly quiet! The bed is very good and we felt very good in Christian's pretty property and his wonderful garden. He even let us enjoy a few vegetables he grows. Christian is very attentive offering fresh products if you wish (organic eggs, milk). He also knows how to be discreet, while being very attentive if you need him. The accommodation is very well equipped and you can make washing machines independently which is very convenient. Really thank you! And ciao to King the dog

We had a dream vacation, Anika & Leif were & are super nice people, the communication worked out perfectly and we were very warmly welcomed and shown around by Leif. ☺️ The accommodation itself has the most beautiful view you can imagine! She really is a diamond 💎 We had everything we needed on site in the cottage & even supermarkets or a market, on Saturday, right around the corner. We - two adults and one dog - spent 11 wonderful days at Villa Rocchetta. Elaborately and stylishly renovated and tastefully furnished by Paolo for years, the villa is a true gem. The terrace and several small balconies offer a sight of Lake Lugano. The garden also invites you to linger. Paolo is the perfect host. Friendly and accommodating, he always responded immediately to our requests. We felt completely comfortable.

Anita is a super host, she was really very precise in communications and allowed us to check in in an extremely flexible way. The apartment is magnificent, very large and cared for in every detail, very clean and practical. The apartment is in a dream location, among hills and nature, flowers and plants of all kinds, in the open space there are 2 terraces from where you can admire an incredible view of the surrounding hills and a view of Lake Lugano. The stay, practically fantastic, I will definitely return. Thank you very much Anita.

We had a great stay at this apartment in Ponte Tresa! The apartment is nicely decorated, very cozy and the view is simply fantastic. Really everything is as in the photos! Particularly practical was the parking right in front of the entrance – no climbing stairs, no ramp, ideal. There are good places to eat or shop in the area, all within easy reach. Although there are some neighbors and a road behind the house, it was pleasantly quiet – anyone who is disturbed by the "noise" here probably sleeps very lightly. The apartment was clean overall, just a little dusty in a few places – nothing dramatic. All in all: A great place and close to the Italian border – we would definitely come back!
