The Bunk House

The Bunk House is an 8 by 12 foot shed with 3-4 bunks. There is a twin sized bed across the back, a bunk sized bed on each side and a plank to pull out to accommodate a fourth person in the middle over the walkway. With this adaptation, you have an 8 by 10 foot bed. We provide foam mattresses, sheets, blankets and pillows. There is an air-conditioner and a heater. Bucket toilet behind the bunkhouse. Fire ring available. No pets. The water is from our deep well - tested, certified and delicious!

This cute house is on a working alternative farm that raises grass-fed beef and lamb. If you want to get away from the busy life, come sit on the porch and watch the sunset. A state park is close for kayaking and canoeing. There are some very nice restaurants and wineries close by or you can cook in the large kitchen. i’m from this area originally, and was looking for some peace and calm in the country after living in the city over a decade. kate not only did my super last minute RSVP (like, 2 hours prior!) and the house was ready, with clear instructions - easy for the non-familiar. very cozy, private, homey - in the best way with everything we needed. would and will stay here again when home!

This stay was one of the better experiences I’ve had with Airbnb. Anne wrote us a personalized card and left us farm fresh eggs and locally baked cookies. Amazing! The place was so quiet and peaceful. I would stay here again! The only complaint I have is that we were unable to adjust the temperature in the space. However, Anne provided a fan, and it was cool enough outside to open the window.

We loved staying at Kendra's place and we will be back. It was Clean and had everything we needed. Easy access to the house. Very informative host, and stayed in contact with me whenever I needed. Even while she wasn't home, and I didn't have my phone to look up the code to get in. I got ahold of her through the camera on the doorbell. We even had our 3 year old with us and he did great there. Absolutely Recomended ~Destiny Grindstaff and Family~

Shawn’s place felt right at-home with easy check-in. We absolutely loved the porch! The place was very clean and felt safe. It was about a 15-20 min drive to Columbia. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider it when we visit again!

We had a peaceful anniversary trip. Very private. Cabin was decorated well and clean. Host provided breakfast items and lots of practical features for the kitchen and bathroom. Nice ambient lighting outdoors. We saw lots of wildlife. We especially liked the fire pit on the deck and the furniture on the dock to hang out by the water. We would very much recommend this place to others who are looking to get away for some peace and quiet!

Our stay was perfect for our needs. We were there for an antique and craft show and the location put us a lot closer than if we had had to stay in Jefferson City. It was simple but more than adequate for our needs. They accommodated us adding our 10-year-old grandson at the last minute and that was such a blessing. Will consider them for any future stays in the area.
