Vacation rentals with lake access in Asheville

The Lake house was perfect for us! 8 of us stayed at the house for celebrating a graduation and 10-12 of us gathered there for lunch and breakfast and it was great fit. It is literally steps away from a sweet little lake, that had baby ducks and geese when we were there in the spring and was a lovely 15 minute walk to downtown Black Mountain. The hosts were great - when I reached out for recommendations on a restaurant or caterer to help us with after the graduation lunch, they wrote back quickly and made great recommendation. thank you! Oh, and they recently added a game table and my husband loved it and we always knew were to find him, haha.

Perfect getaway with peace and quiet, dog loved it too. Walkable to Black Mountain with shopping, restaurants and music venues.

We had a great time. The views are beautiful and the house is spacious with a great layout for a large group. The house has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished with a fun lake theme. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The kids had a wonderful time at the private lake! They paddled around the lake in their floats and played on the sandy shady beach. It was a bit warm to try out the hot tub and the fire table on the porch but we hope to come back in the spring or fall to take advantage of all the amenities this house has to offer.

Peter was a great host and very responsive with any questions or request. Home was exactly as described, were looking for a peaceful quiet and secluded weekend getaway. Porch is very peaceful, kitchen is well equiped and everything works. Master bedroom is very peaceful and comfortable. Had fun playing pool too! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Absolutely perfect. We stayed for the week with our five kids (6,4,3, & 1 year old twins) and had an amazing family vacation. The space worked perfectly for our needs as a large family with small kids and the beach area was especially perfect for toddler playtime. The waterfall across the way was stunning and we loved boating around, fishing, swimming, fires by the lake, and rainy evenings in the hot tub. Such an amazing place for families!

We enjoyed the peaceful and private area. The house had everything we needed and more. It was the perfect weekend away in nature and the outdoors.

Had a great stay, Amanda was very helpful and welcoming. I had a longer stay and frequently used the hot tub so at a certain point it could have benefited from some product which I offered to treat. Amanda had the cleaner out the next day to treat it instead which was a very nice thing to do. I usually stay in Asheville for hiking trips and it was my first time in Waynesville, but I really liked it a lot. I don’t agree with the review that said there’s nothing to do, Waynesville was a cool city with great food and some cool breweries. I also wouldn’t worry about the driveway if you’re thinking about booking. It’s steep but in my opinion it’s being overstated. I drove up it at night, while it was raining, and both at the same time. Never any issues

The home was beautiful and well appointed. Beds were extremely comfortable. Many amenities were provided like coffee, sweetener, teas, variety of soaps. Kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dinnerware, cooking supplies, coffee pot and silverware. The 120 acre grounds were magical, paddle boat on lake, playground, fire pit, and hiking trails were enjoyed by all. We saw deer, groundhogs and plenty of fireflies. We will definitely return.

This was such a lovely Airbnb! Squeaky clean, walkable to beautiful Lake Junaluska and just a few minutes to hiking and downtown Waynesville. You can really tell Steve and Susie want their guests to have a five star stay with so many thoughtful touches such as bottled water, coffee, tea, half and half, biscotti’s card games and an abundance of books and guides about the area. There was a private table and chairs outside for a glass of wine or a meal which we loved and the bed was so comfortable. Solid place to stay for good value with everything needed for a week stay.

Overall a really beautiful and peaceful spot that checked all the boxes for what I needed for the week. Super comfy and cozy. Had a really lovely stay, and Paul was super responsive. Definitely will be looking to book here again when I return to the area in the future!

ms.sandy and her husband are the sweetest people ever, we missed check in by 4 hours so she was worried and made sure we were okay, upon arrival and her explaining everything to us she took the time to made sure we ate something and made us a smoothie just in case we didn’t. she has the most beautiful home and it’s exactly like the pictures. when you look over the balcony at night you see the most beautiful firefly’s, and wake up to the most brightest sunrises, you can even see the mountains in the back!! the room was so clean and spacious so we will definitely be back again and hopefully for longer!

This is an amazing place!! Beautiful view, great place to sit outside, close walking path, quiet, comfortable and nicely furnished. It was just so perfect!! Fell in love with the apartment and Lake Junaluska. Cannot say enough about what an exceptional place this was!

Cute place for a getaway with 2-4 people. Beautiful deck, small kitchen with what you need for quick cooking, coffee on hand, bathroom nice with what you need, clean and tidy. Loved the convenience to everything to do in the area. Kids loved the pool! I loved the zip line just 15 mins up the road (not included but highly recommend). Very responsive and helpful host. Lake Lure and views are breathtaking.

Great location I will certainly miss being able to walk right down to the lake. Leslie is a phenomenal host and did a great job of communicating and taking care of any things that came up during our roughly 8 month stay. she was also very accommodating in helping us and other tenants that were impacted by hurricane Helene. kudos Leslie well done!

This was our second time staying with Karen and Katie in Saluda! The property is beautiful and the cabin so welcoming. It really is the most perfect place to escape to for a few days!

This is absolutely the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. I love to fish and the pond didn’t disappoint, caught bass, catfish and bluegill, it was a blast. It was so quiet and we really enjoyed the space by the pond. The home was immaculate!! We are already planning another trip to go back.

We had a quick stay for camp drop off. Very comfortable home and beds. Clear instructions for getting there and staying.

Peaceful and quiet with a gorgeous house and lot. The views are stunning and honestly there is no reason to leave. We brought our kayaks, e-bikes and our pups. We only left to go to the grocery store once, out to dinner at Appalachia, and then only to the lake and the river each day. We will definitely be back and wish we could have stayed longer. It is truly a retreat and the most relaxing getaway.

Cute, cozy, felt right at home! The screened in porch and hot tub were an added bonus that we truly enjoyed.

Sylvie’s home was beautiful, filled with details that made it both functional and homey (eg, a full spice rack, and even lotion). We loved our stay and they even let us extend it for a reasonable fee. The location is amazing — tucked away with privacy, but very easy to get to all the beautiful attractions in the area. I've spent many years using Airbnb. This was a very special experience! The cottage is perfection. The grounds and surrounding area are stunning! But the hosts, Melinda and Hal , made a lasting impression. You both made my birthday one of the best! I am forever grateful and can't wait to return.
