Mökki means “cottage” in Nordic Finnish. Please spend your time as you like in a special space that is detached from your daily routine. Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho in northern Nagano Prefecture, blessed with forests, lakes and snow. There are nature-rich sightseeing spots such as Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri, and Togakushi in the vicinity. The building of the pioneering era was renovated fashionably with plenty of natural materials such as pure cedar, cypress and plaster.We also paid attention to the interior and kitchen utensils so that you can enjoy "living". In the back of the building, there is a forest with a stream, and you can enjoy a walk in search of the blessings of nature, as well as swing hammocks.In the east house by the river, you can enjoy BBQ and bonfires without worrying about the weather. In the green season, as a base for hiking, biking, fishing, and sup golf, the snow season is also a great base for winter sports, including skiing and snowboarding. Perfect location for any vacation if you want to relax, walk around the neighborhood on foot, drive a little more adventurous. There are many walking tracks to enjoy the scenery of Nagano's nature, such as mountain roads leading to Togakushi Shrine, which has more than 2,000 years of history, as well as wetlands and alpine observation courses. It is a 10-minute walk to Forest Adventure, which can be enjoyed by children and adults, and Oza Hoshi Pond, where you can take a walk by the lake.Water activities on Lake Nojiri and sightseeing in the city such as Zenyo-ji Temple are also within a 20-minute drive.All ski resorts (Togakushi, Kurohime, Myoko, Wadao) all ski resorts can be accessed within 30 minutes. Enjoy the sound of birds singing, the sound of the rain that plays with the leaves of the trees, and the serene time created by the four seasons of the forest as you look up at the starry sky at night.

This is a house with a superb view overlooking Lake Nojiri. There are several ski slopes (Myoko, Kurohime, and Masao), about 15-20 minutes away, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy a wood-burning sauna and a stunning water bath. There are no private houses around, so you can also watch music and movies with loud noises. Since it is a house nestled in the mountains, we will do our best to take care of it, but during the warmer months, insects can be seen.It snows a lot in winter.In autumn, the leaves dance. You must also adjust the fire in the wood stove yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but it's got an incredible view. Enjoy cooking with a kitchen counter with stunning views, condiments, and a cooker.(There is no equipment for BBQ.)
