Natural pool sunrise walk & swimming, avoiding the crowds
During this morning's walking experience, we will begin our walk with our first view of the spectacular rugged northern coast, we will continue on the isolated path through the countryside of the island where I will point out the various indigenous plants & animals as well as the gold and local history and teaching you some Papiamento (our local language) and expressions. At this point, we reach the northern dunes where we may be able to spot sea turtles nesting. This is the most unique and secluded beach on the island, which you need to see it for yourself. It is an off the beaten path. We will continue our way to the famous natural pool (Conchi). We'll be the first swimmers before all the packed jeep riders. The round trail is 3.5 miles with up and down parts, mostly flat. This is an easy and relaxing walk through an area that is relatively undiscovered & secluded where you will hardly find anyone else on the way all surrounded by the local flora and fauna. All levels are welcome as this is a very relaxing morning walk. Other days are available upon request. Tour companies charged over $100. Transportation to the meeting point or the start of the trail is not included. Highly recommended to rent a vehicle (no need of 4x4) for at least 1 day, so you can explore the rest of the island at your own pace.

Each guest will then be able to pick out the colors they want for their Dreamcatcher. They will also be provided with all the remaining materials they will need to complete one. There will be scissors and hot glue guns, so the guest don't need to bring anything. Just their creativity and enthusiasm. I will then demonstrate how to begin weaving the inner web. Next, I will show examples of how to add the finishing embellishments such as string, ribbon, yarn, beads and feathers and each guest can create their own dreamcatcher using their own personal style preferences. It will be a very comfortable and calming environment and my goal for the event is to help make everyone feel relaxed and be able to make a nice crafting memory they will cherish for years to come. I always say this at all my workshops, please remember if this is your first time making it, that you are not here for perfection, you are here to learn something new. Be gentle with yourself and don't worry to much about the results. Just have fun and enjoy the process.
Eco Living Aruba Desert Bee Experience
We will be meeting at "The Old Dutch Cafe" next to the Citgo Sasaki gas station. Once we have gathered everyone we will then be driving to the first location. Once we have arrived at the first location I will talk about how I manage the Beehives, the challenges I face as a Beekeeper and the Bee A Foster program that I created. We will then put on our suits and try some Honey from the first location. Keep in mind that Honey and Bees are Seasonal, meaning depending on time of year sometimes there a lot of Bees and Honey and sometimes not so much. Once we are finished at the first location we will then proceed to my small nursery apiary. Here I will discuss the different size Bee boxes and why I have different size Bee boxes. We will take out some frames from the Brood Chamber and try to see the Queen and take out some Honey. Please Keep in mind that the Bee Experience is not a crash course into how to become a Beekeeper. The aim of the Bee Experience is to share some knowledge on how I beekeep on Aruba and to also learn about the challenges I face on a dry island. Everyones Expectations and Perspectives on a Bee Experience are different, my aim is to share knowledge and also answer any questions you may have but to also be safe. Once we are done with the small apaiary we will then proceed to the Home store where I can show you how I package and manage my prodcuts.
