Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Armstrong County

It was a pleasure to stay in Deborah's unit in Vandergrift. The place was very nicely appointed, extremely clean, and nicely stocked! The home had multiple rooms to move about in and did not feel cramped at all. The neighborhood was quiet with friendly folks on the street. There was a bit of noise from the train as it went through town, but it wasn't often. I was not able to take the opportunity to wander the town, but it was easily walkable. Deborah responded to inquiries quickly with helpful answers! Thank you!

The host is very accommodating to the needs of the guests, plenty of activities to occupy your time. And peaceful atmosphere that someone of any age will enjoy.

We visited PA for the U.S. Open and wanted a place to stay away from the chaos. We found that peaceful place at the RiverHouse. The quaint outdoor and indoor seating areas allowed for a view of the river allowing for relaxation. The house is very well equipped and stocked! You truly feel like you are home. I highly recommend The RiverHouse for a weekend or weeks stay especially if you enjoy the outdoors.

We have stayed at a lot of AirBnB's and this place is easily in our top 5 for comfort, cleanliness and aesthetics. The couches were very comfortable, the upstairs bed was very comfortable. The house was nice and cool when we got there. The upstairs air conditioning unit was quiet. I appreciated the fact that the sheets were cotton and not those gross polyester, make you sweaty sheets. I appreciated the well stocked coffee bar (there were even decaf pods). Whoever did the remodel on this home did an absolutely amazing, professional job. I loved the color palette inside. It's nice to be in a home that isn't painted 50 shades of depressing gray. I loved the chicken fabric on the dining room chairs. Just a quick ride into Vandergrift and New Kensington to hit the breweries (our favorite was Allusion Brewing). We also biked the Tredway Trail, Armstrong Trail and the Butler Freeport Community Trail. Sherri was kind enough to let us use the garage to keep our bikes safe and dry. Thanks!

I travelled to the area to attend something personal. It wasn’t the easiest thing to do but Colleen opened her home and it allowed myself to focus on what was needed and provide a clean, very peaceful place to stay. She was very easy to talk to and made my trip that much more enjoyable. She’s a great host and I would recommend staying with her again.

Terrific communication as a host during an incredibly busy week with the US Open in town. Amenities like pool table, shuffleboard, and two separate entertainment centers in family room and basement were very nice! Additional renovations being completed to kitchen and bathroom with cool new appliances/technology.

Beautiful apartment style housing. Accommodations look just like the pictures. Brenda and her husband were friendly and inviting and their fur babies were extra sweet. Brenda thought of the little things, which enhanced the experience. Would recommend this Airbnb without hesitation (and I’m picky!).
