Three woven straw hats are displayed against a white wall. The hats vary in style, with one featuring a wide brim and decorative trim, while the others have a more traditional design. The natural textures and earthy tones create a casual and beach-inspired aesthetic.

Isle de Armona, a beautifully kept secret.

Amazing stay at Chris's place. So relaxing and charming. A real beach feel to everything with great sea views and amazing sunsets. All you need is right on your doorstep. Very peaceful at night and comfortable beds too. We were so relaxed afterwards. Would definitely return

A vast expanse of sandy beach stretches into the distance, meeting the clear blue water of the ocean. Gentle waves lap at the shore, while a small boat is visible on the horizon. The sky is cloudless, creating a bright and open feel.

Strandhuis

DanielRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We met Erwin and his wife ourselves. The two were very friendly and explained everything very precisely and at the same time generously. Unfortunately, we were there at a time when it rained a lot and was often cold. Very unusual, as everyone said. It was very good to have working underfloor heating. The windows were also sealed. There are many windows so it was bright. To the front is the one big footpath out of the island. You can watch people make the pilgrimage from the ferries to the beach and back. There is no real view of the sea. It's quiet and sunny in the back. All around are other vacation homes, but in February and March they were all empty. Some construction work was done on the other houses, ready for the summer. The couple who own the house were really nice and helpful. On site there is a woman who takes care of everything. We didn't need them, though, because everything worked well.
A bright living room features two large windows with wooden frames that allow natural light to fill the space. A beige rug covers the herringbone wooden floor beneath a plush two-person sofa, accompanied by an armchair. A classic chandelier hangs from the ceiling, adding elegance to the room.

Antique fisherman's house with spectacular roof terrace

CassandraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed at Noemi’s place as a family of 4, with two small children, and my sister. The set up was perfect - two bedrooms on the main floor with bathroom, and second bedrooom on the”third” level with bathroom - gave her privacy and some separation when needed! The house was beautiful - we loved old style home, the outdoor spaces and decor. We felt very at home and it was easily walkable to restaurants, grocery store and the ferry to nearby islands. We would recommend the home to anyone visiting Olhao! (And you definitely should!)

Charming Design Led Home Olhão

ZoeRating, 5 stars6 days ago
I had the most incredible stay in this property. It was a last minute booking as my travel plans changed and I honestly feel like I was dealt the luckiest hand in finding this gem! The place is tranquil, so tastefully designed, cool (even in this heat!) and to top it off, has a plunge pool on the roof. The hosts have thought of every little detail - I believe they live there - and all I can say is; they live in style! Each room has its own unique charm, it’s such a special place. As hosts they were really accomodating, suggesting a great local restaurant (Cha Cha Cha - the flash fried tuna salad was majestic) and some day trips for me to do the next time I stay - which I hope to do in the very near future. I am honestly floating on air after my time there. Thank you so much Steph & Ben!

Casa Verde

We absolutely loved this apartment! Charming, stylish, clean, well equipped and perfect hosting. The outdoor spaces are amazing. We particularly enjoyed the ground level courtyard which is really a second living room. The location is amazing, 5-7 minutes from everything. We went to the islands several times which were such a surprise, so easy to get to, quaint and uncrowded with white sand beaches and clear water. Highly recommend.
A serene beach scene is depicted, with soft golden sand meeting a calm lagoon. A small boat navigates through the clear, shallow waters under a cloudless blue sky, highlighting the natural beauty of the area.

Cosy House on the Magical Island of Armona

JohnRating, 5 stars1 month ago
If you are looking to get away from the stress of everyday life to somewhere tranquil and relaxing, then Armona is the place to go, and Isabel's house is ideally located. It is in a quiet spot, a few steps from one beach and a ten-minute walk to a much larger beach that is as good as you will find anywhere. A fifteen-minute walk takes you to the ferry over to Olhão, a vibrant town where you will find a great market and plenty of good restaurants. There are no cars on Armona, which gives it much of its idyllic character, but might be challenging for anyone who has mobility difficulties. The house is clearly used as a home and so it is easy to quickly feel at home. It is comfortable and well-provisioned with everything you might need during your stay. This was our third visit and we would have no hesitation in returning again.
