Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Archanes

We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

we had a lovely week at Maria's place. The covered terrace is the most beautiful room in the house with beautiful sea views. The beach is less than 5 minutes' walk, but beware, for people who have difficulty walking, the slope is rather steep to climb. Maria is very responsive and responds very quickly to messages. Agia Pelagia remains a small seaside resort in a great location for visiting the north of the island. Beautiful discovery

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

One of the most beautiful homes we have ever stayed at. Owner is great and took care of everything very fast and efficiently. Perfect place to relax and enjoy a secluded holiday in Crete. We will always go back to this place!

Check-in was different than usual, as the host unfortunately had to go to the hospital unexpectedly. Nevertheless, she was constantly available and responded to questions within a short time. In this way, I wish you a good recovery again and hope for a quick recovery. The place was nicer than in the photos and perfectly cleaned, as well as fully equipped. I would definitely go back to this AirBnb. Highly recommended!

The house itself is modern, stylish and equipped with everything you could wish for. The spacious pool and the breathtaking view over the Cretan landscape to the sea inspired us every day. But what really makes this place special is the host. From the first moment, he was incredibly warm, helpful and attentive – after a very short time, it felt like we had found a friend on site. Whether tips for excursions, restaurant recommendations or just a nice conversation – he was always there for us and made our stay something very special. DejaView is the perfect place to unwind, enjoy and feel good. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful and unforgettable stay in Crete. Katerina welcomed us very well in this paradise island me and my sister. Indeed, she welcomed us at the bus stop to show us the beautiful apartment which is a 10-minute walk from the beach. The apartment had all the necessary amenities and it was very clean (the bedrooms, the kitchen, the shower, the sheets,...). Katerina was listening and answering all our questions throughout our stay. She showed us the supermarket which is 10 minutes away by bus where you can find tasty vegetables and fruits and local products like olive oil and honey. It also showed us the tourist places: the most beautiful beaches of Crete like the sublime Sarantaris beach, the beautiful Heraklion Cruises to Dia Island and the beautiful neighboring towns like Nikolaos. My husband and I spent a lovely week at Asteri Home. The house was exactly as expected and just what we wanted for our week in Crete. The kitchen was well-equipped and allowed us to make breakfasts and a some dinners at home. The main double bedroom was big enough and comfortable. The bathroom is a bit dark and the shower is quite small, but we made do. The most amazing part of the house is the huge garden overlooking the sea that has 4 sun loungers, 2 outdoor tables for dining, a BBQ and a dart board. We spent a lot of time sitting at the end of the garden enjoying the view. Véronique and Yiannis are amazing hosts. They were so helpful right from the start - arranging transport from the airport, a rental car, offering suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. Kokkini Hani is quieter than other more touristy parts of Crete we visited. We found wonderful Greek restaurants with fresh seafood everyday. The supermarket and shops are all in walking distance. A lovely place!

Everything was impeccable

Pristine apartment and well provided for in terms of kitchen etc. Great showers and really comfy beds..... excellent apartment and Stella who checked us in was lovely. Aikaterini was very helpful in contacting us in advance of arriving too..... great place!!

We had an amazing time at this lovely place. The view from the balcony is absolutely spectacular. And just a short walk down the hill, and you are right by the beach, where you also find some good local taverna. It does get a bit hot in the apartment, but the AC helps. Absolute highlight was the amazing homemade Greek food by host Eleni. Never experienced such hospitality in an Airbnb before! Will definitely visit again!

It is a beautiful house, decorated with great taste and very well equipped, even in the small details (bed and house linen provided, shampoo and soap in all bathrooms, the necessary products in the kitchen, and even the basic groceries: sugar, coffee, salt, pepper, olive oil of course, all the little things that we use on a daily basis but that we will not need to buy). The house is located in a peaceful village, on a hill overlooking the olive trees and vines, with the mountains in the background. It's a very relaxing place. Nearby you can find a baker, a grocery store, a butcher, everything you need to shop without going to Heraklion. Georgios is a considerate and very responsive host, always committed to making sure the stay goes smoothly. 5 stars amply deserved, to be absolutely recommended if you pass through Crete.

Stayed with a group of friends for a week and had a great time. Faidra was quick to respond and proactive throughout our stay, providing all sorts of helpful recommendations. The villa was spacious with a great pool and barbecue ready to roll. It’s located in a quiet area so you’ll need a car, although within walking distance you can get to a few local shops, a lovely taverna, an olive oil mill (would recommend a tasting) and, if you want to give the driver a day off, a winery about half an hour hike away. All told, was a great base for exploring this part of Crete and fantastic value.

Friendly communication with Frank. He was quick to respond and with "issues" it was quickly resolved. The house is beautiful and met all expectations. The only downside we have experienced is the barking of the dogs nearby, mainly at night this was sometimes disturbing.

This was a gem of a find with expansive views of the countryside . George was a super host! The villa was even more beautiful in person, with a large terrace and stunning views. The pool and sun decks were great. Close driving distance to a large selection of easy going taverns & supermarkets where people were very friendly and helpful . This villa is 40 min south to Matala where we enjoyed the beach and seaside restaurants and live music. We recommend!

We had a wonderful 5-day vacation at the villa. The property was stunning! It was tastefully designed, offering full privacy, and was super clean. We used the brick oven to make pizza and also enjoyed the pool. Everything was just as it looked in the pictures, and the villa was equipped with everything we needed. Pandelis, the owner, was very responsive to all of our requests and questions. I highly recommend this place!

My family of 6 (with 4 small children) spent 7 days at Xara's location. It was fabulous. Xara and her husband were fantastic hosts with every bit of Greek hospitality (filoxenia) you can imagine. The location of the home is peaceful with a spectacular few of the Cretan countryside. Very accessible and minutes away from everyone you may need - gas station, a wonderful bakery (Fournistiri), village (Episkopi) offering fantastic food offerings, the airport, Heraklion, etc. Its all here. The hosts and home was also very kid friendly. The best part is that we got farm fresh eggs continuously throughout our stay and the children got to even feel some of the farm animals (chickens, goats, horses). Thank you Mihali and Xara. We had a fantastic time.

Hands down the best AirBnB I’ve stayed at. The villa was absolutely beautiful and exactly like the photos. It has been completed to a very high spec and everything you could possibly need was provided. The views were stunning and my children’s highlight was the swimming pool. Giorgos was beyond helpful and available 24/7 for anything we required. He was even generous enough to give us some wine and to show us around the family’s local wine estate. The village of Dafnes was lovely, unspoiled and felt very authentic. We didn’t see another tourist all week! Each morning we enjoyed croissants and coffees from the local shops and we ate out most evenings. The local restaurants were fabulous! We’d love to come back.

Giorgos was a great host. Flexible with our demands and very responsive whenever we had any issues. For example, we had a hot water problem, which he resolved quickly after we informed him. The villa is very beautiful with a 360 view of Heraklion and the surrounding area. It has a great living room space for social gatherings, outside tables for dining and a grill. The kitchen was also well equipped with a large fridge+freezer, dish washer, microwave oven and gas hobs. The gym was well equipped and the swimming pool water was very clean. There was a washing machine with a lot of drying space. Several of the rooms have private bathrooms. The villa was not easily reachable by foot but that is the case for most places on Crete. It had however plenty of parking space and remotely operated gates. We didn't try the jacuzzi so can't comment on that and the piano was locked. Overall our stay was amazing, we're very happy and would recommend Giorgos as a host :)
