Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Aransas Bay

We have been fortunate to have almost universally positive Airbnb experiences, but this one was special. There are absolutely flashier homes out there, ones closer to the beach, or closer to an influencer’s ideal. But Bon Temps Rockport felt like home. From the exceptional hospitality shown by Natalie and family, to the thoughtful decoration, the convenient to Rockport and only 30 min from Corpus location, and even an easy checkout that was not the onerous list of requirements some properties are known for, this place is special and represents the best of what Airbnb can be. All to say I happily recommend Bon Temps Rockport to anyone looking to stay in the area. Our family can’t wait to return.

The house is beautiful, and in the perfect location. Tucked away and private, but central to everywhere we needed to go. Walking distance to our favorite coffee shop, as well as lots of restaurants. Large backyard that our kids and dogs enjoyed. Anything we forgot, was there available for use. I will definitely be staying here again.

Beautiful home with unique quarters for an amazing stay. The covered pool was great to swim and cool off in when it was the hottest point in the day. Plenty of space for family get togethers with a grill to have a nice cookout. Would definitely recommend booking this home for your next coastal vacation!

This is our 4th annual summer trip with our kids and grand kids and never disappoints! Hosts was prompt, and very helpful. Her cottage was very spacious, clean and comfy. Can’t wait to book again for next year. ❤️❤️

We had an excellent stay at Jay's property for a large family trip. Property was exactly as advertised and completely met or exceeded our expectations. All the provided accessories (beach chairs, toys, kitchen utensils, etc) were a fantastic bonus to the stay. Having the provided golf cart ready to go makes the entire process even more seamless not having to go to a separate rental location. We absolutely plan to stay again next year if possible!

We had the best time at this waterfront home! Everything was so well thought out, from the layout to the amenities and it had everything we needed for a comfortable and fun stay. It’s clear this home was designed with families in mind, especially those bringing kids along. The house was spotless, and the fishing off the dock was great! We weren’t sure what to expect, but we ended up catching a huge black drum, redfish, trout, and even a flounder. Such a great experience, we’d definitely book again!

This is a total gem! The location is right by the beach and the pool and playground are amazing. This is the second time we stayed. Janis is very helpful and responsive and we had no real issues. The place itself is a little small, but for 2 adults and a kid its perfect and we spent most of the time outside. Gorgeous deck. The couch is somewhat uncomfortable but again, not a deal breaker. Overall we love this place and will probably stay again if she will have us.

Great location, off the main streets so quiet for a beach town rental. Very clean, no insects or broken equipment....everything was great!

The condo was great. Location was easy to get to grocery, beach, restaurants…etc. Even though its a community, it was still quiet and peaceful. The condo itself was well taken care of and very clean. Kelli herself was very responsive and easy to work with. She was very sweet and easy to talk with. Definitely would visit again!

We enjoyed walking the beach each evening and picking shells. We used the grill, took in the cool breezes, and relaxed in the beautiful surroundings. The house is very clean and super close to HEB.

This is a beachfront condo you can walk to the beach. That was a plus since we had our 2 grandkids with us. The condo was spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook a meal. We will definitely book this condo again in the future.

Great space for a family of 6 adults and 2 kids. Family with kids downstairs allowed privacy and upstairs we enjoyed the extra balcony! Beautiful space right on the water, comfy couches, and overall clean when we walked in. The host was very quick to respond and accommodating when I had questions or concerns. There is no fishing net, so bring your own! We missed a pretty big flounder for not being prepared, but still caught some drum and little reds. Loved being able to fish right off the dock. Only suggestions I have is to add some extra chairs at the dining table because some are missing and the door lock makes a loud noise if you leave it open for too long. Locks on the bedroom doors would allow for more privacy. One cabinet in the kitchen doesn’t close all the way but not a big deal! I would stay again!

Amazing!! Stayed 4 days: Grandparents with Mom and Dad and a 1 year old. Condo was clean enough for the baby to crawl on the floors. Bedrooms on either side of the living room with bathrooms were perfect to make everyone comfortable. King BR big enough for a PacknPlay and dark enough for a good nap. Kitchen had everything we needed. Entire building and grounds were well maintained. Pool was sparkling clean. Enjoyed interactions with staff, other guests and people who lived there. We have been to Port Aransas 5x and this is The Best location! The beach was close enough to go back and forth to the unit several times in the day as needed, and to enjoy walks in the early morning and night. Brought a light weight folding wagon for the baby with us. So easy and she loved it. The balcony view and sounds - so relaxing. This place has it all! Already planning for next year.

We love staying in this general location. Lisa’s place was nothing short of perfect! The attention to detail was spot on. Very clean, had everything you need and such beautiful decor! We will definitely come back.

Only stayed a couple of nights…Darrell was very accommodating and condo was very clean and well stocked with cooking and serving necessities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will consider booking again.

First time renting an Airbnb and was honestly satisfied with our stay. Our host provided a great experience for us and the kids. From the condos cleanliness to the amenities available for us. Definitely recommend this stay for those looking for a simple & peaceful stay as well as accessibility to town or the beach.

Space was as advertised and a solid place to stay close to Port A. Really enjoyed the fact it was pet friendly and easy access to the beach.
