Our cottage is surrounded by nature, quiet and on the Alpstein hiking trail In the garden, there is a cozy sitting lounge, a large fireplace and the garden shower for cooling off. The magnificent views and the Alpine feeling can be particularly well enjoyed from the bench on the forecourt. Inside it is beautifully and cozily furnished, with a tiled stove and wood-burning stove, a cozy living room and a spacious dining table. Everything is fully furnished and ready for guests :)

Our Afrizell house is located in the middle of Appenzell, in Ried, the oldest cooperative settlement in Europe. Four minutes' walk from the train station, seven minutes' walk from the lively village center, with private garden and stylish décor - pure relaxation. The house is the starting point for hikes and winter sports in the Alpstein, museum visits and forest walks. Everything is easily accessible by Appenzell train or the Rufbus [on-call bus]. Welcome to Appenzellerland, in the valley of the Silvesterchläuse, in Urnäsch, an old house with a separate entrance, a nice place to sit, directly on the Urnäsch (stream) and the Postbus stop towards Schwägalp, the duplex apartment was renovated in the 1970s, with a small kitchen and a spacious living room to linger in, simple, quiet and cozy and good to know, in the other part of the house (private entrance) my parents live, but this does not affect you.

The breathtaking view over the Alpstein, hills and the countryside also invites you to hike, exercise and walk. Also for winter sports holidays with snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or sledding. With us you can escape everyday life and get a taste of country life. You are also welcome to get an insight into our farm, not far from the vacation home. Fresh milk directly from the cow and eggs from our chickens can be purchased from us.
