The apartment itself is in the basement of an old Stickerhaus, that is an embroiderer house where once the famous embroidery of the region have been manufactured. We guarantee leisurely days in an unconventional place.

Our cottage is surrounded by nature, quiet and on the Alpstein hiking trail In the garden, there is a cozy sitting lounge, a large fireplace and the garden shower for cooling off. The magnificent views and the Alpine feeling can be particularly well enjoyed from the bench on the forecourt. Inside it is beautifully and cozily furnished, with a tiled stove and wood-burning stove, a cozy living room and a spacious dining table. Everything is fully furnished and ready for guests :)

Welcome to Appenzellerland, in the valley of the Silvesterchläuse, in Urnäsch, an old house with a separate entrance, a nice place to sit, directly on the Urnäsch (stream) and the Postbus stop towards Schwägalp, the duplex apartment was renovated in the 1970s, with a small kitchen and a spacious living room to linger in, simple, quiet and cozy and good to know, in the other part of the house (private entrance) my parents live, but this does not affect you.

Very pleasant atmosphere, clean, amenities beyond those advertised, for us it was what we were looking for, we left every day early and returned at dusk, there was construction in the building, which did not bother us at all, which was even a concern of Mr. Marko. We stayed 8 days and will return to stay another 4 days. Many thanks Frederico and Neli.

I really enjoyed my stay with Johannes and his family. he and his wife are so kind. I was invited to eat with them, Johannes explored the city with me (and once with his children) and the family and I visited the community garden. He knows a lot about the city and will tell you so much, basically I got an exclusive city tour. it's not the typical sperated Airbnb where you barely see the host, you will have a room in a flat. I prefer that kind of traveling (specially with hosts like them). Communication is super easy, Johannes is very responsive.

The accommodation was part of a small local farm with a shop selling local products, open 24/7. We recommend taking advantage of the breakfast offer from home products. Quiet, beautiful, rural, village peaceful environment. Priska was very friendly, helpful, quick to respond to messages and questions. The journey to the train station took about 10 minutes, the town has a good location for trips in Appenzell. The room was smaller, but fully sufficient for a stay.

A very nice apartment with everything you need and a beautiful view of the cathedral! The only small criticism: right next to the bed is a small skylight that cannot be darkened, which is why (in summer) it gets bright very early in the morning in the apartment. I would come back!
