Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Anchorage

This house was exactly what we needed after 17 days of traveling thru Alaska!!! it felt like visiting a relative, everything we needed was there, beds and blackout curtains were perfect for some much needed rest! It was just so comfortable and welcoming. The toys were an absolute hit with our kiddo and we got to enjoy the back yard multiple times. The location was phenomenal!!! So close to downtown Anchorage and just as close to turnagain arm, which is a breathtaking drive. Our only regret was not booking this place straight from our cruise end and using it for our homebase for a week while adventuring during the day! Anchorage really showed off for us the last day with a beautifully sunny day, we got to walk down to the inlet view and enjoy a peaceful moment there before packing up and heading to the airport. Would absolutely recommend this place and would even book it again if we are ever fortune enough to be in the area again. The host was great with communication and accommodating

This was my second time staying here, and it was just as great. The place is clean, comfortable, and in an ideal location—just minutes from downtown but still quiet and relaxing. Zainab is an incredible host—responsive, thoughtful, and always willing to help with anything you need. I always enjoy staying here and will definitely be back if I'm ever in town again. Highly recommend!

What a beautiful house that exceeded the description! We enjoyed the spacious kitchen and living area to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our 2 Daughters and their husbands and all 5 of our grandchildren! The location was perfect with a beautiful view from the dining room and deck! (.....from an online search: The mountain seen from a house deck on Golden View Drive in Anchorage, AK is likely The Sleeping Lady, also known as Mount Susitna. The body of water is likely the Cook Inlet) The location was very close to many restaurants and several of the attractions we planned to visit as well as having privacy, with wonderful views from the windows and porches. First I want to say this place is better than the photos for sure, the beds are much nicer then what the photos depicted. Also I loved the bay window in the kitchen, you could sit in and read w/ a hot coco. I want to respond to some complaints that I saw before we stayed. One complaint said the door did not lock, either this was fixed or it was user error but the door did lock. You had to hit the “schlarg” button and make sure the door was fully closed then turn the deadbolt. It was stated that this was a sketchy area, I would disagree I think it’s typical for anchorage and far enough away from any main road you won’t be bothered, there’s a trailer as one of the neighbors but nothing nefarious happened and we stayed a week. I saw someone said the windows don’t open, this is also not true. The windows opened just fine and there was a box fan provided. The dining room was gorgeous with plenty of room. the kitchen was fully functional, and would work to cook in. Duncan was great!!!!

The place is tastefully decorated, sparklingly clean. There are detailed instructions throughout the home. Shower has very hot and strong water, fantastic for relaxing after a long flight. Beds are super comfy. It is very suitable for family travel. We will definitely stay here again for future Alaska trip!

Nelia was responsive, friendly and helpful. Nice that she provided some basic pantry items gradients.

The place was easy to find, really beautifully decorated. Yana was really responsive when we had a concern brought to her. It got resolved very quickly. There were only 3 towels and 5 of us staying, but we made it work. The beds were comfy and so were the pillows. The laundry room had lots of laundry soap and that was super nice and convenient. Other than the neighborhood being a little run down, it was a really great place to stay.

The apartment was very clean. It was easy to find and in a great location for driving around Anchorage. They supplied soap and shampoo, which was unexpected. The shower had great pressure. The bed was very comfortable. Communication was quick and easy. We would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed staying at Jacob’s. It was really cool walking onto the back porch and watching two young moose and their mom having an early morning walk.

Gina's place was clean and well-equipped. It was the perfect stopover for our trip!

The apartment is close to the airport, so it ideal if you arrive late. The surroundings is quiet, good place to relax. Easy to find and check in. Everything was super clean. The bed was comfortable. Overall we were really satisfied with Joel and Jennys cozy apartment. Thank you.

This apartment was more spacious than it appeared on listing, although the floor plan was unusual. Watch your step in the entry area. The location was very close to downtown. The furniture and bed was comfortable. Thank you for hosting us, Nikki: we had a very nice stay.

Everything was exactly as what we expected. The location was perfect and having a washer/dryer was great so we didn't have to over pack. The 4 of us were very comfortable especially in those super comfortable king sized beds. A huge plus was that we never ran out of hot water even when we all showered back to back. The water pressure wasn't great but other than that everything was perfect.

This condo was perfect for skiing Alyeska. Walking distance to a few lifts, close to bars & restaurants. Super nice to have some staples available for the kitchen. Lots of coffee and filters, condiments in the fridge, spices for cooking, and foil/bags. Beds were comfortable, plenty of towels, pool table/ping pong available. Washer and dryers also available. Would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our night at Steph’s condo. It had a great view of the ocean and was walking distance from multiple Anchorage restaurants/bars. Steph was also super responsive and made the whole process feel seamless. Thank you for hosting us, Steph!

A clean comfortable stay in a great location. The beds were comfortable and the space overall inviting. Was disappointed that the mtn view in the photos wasn’t possible from the unit but that’s a minor/non-issue. Would definitely recommend.

This was my first time staying at Jodi’s but it definitely won’t be our last! Great location near the heart of Girdwood and everything is in pretty minimal walking distance. Jodi was friendly, accommodating and the condo was spotless. HIGHLY recommend her spot!

Great studio apartment with great light/views, cool outdoor patio and essentials. Blackout curtains were perfect for long summer nights and the nearby train tracks are fun without being disruptive (the neighborhood is quiet). Very walkable to downtown—skipping a rental car and traffic was a huge plus.
