Park your car in a free off-street parking spot and walk or take the metro from this charming English basement with plenty of natural light. Stylishly simple, classic design is enhanced by exposed brickwork, and homey touches. Automatic booking is limited to 30 days, but feel free to contact us about booking a longer stay. Guests have their own private one bedroom with a full bath, living area and kitchenette. Free off street parking is available for small and medium sized cars. You will have complete privacy and use of the suite which is in our sunny basement. You will have your own entrance accessible by touchpad. We provide each reservation with a unique key code to unlock the door and control the alarm. We are available if you need us, but otherwise you probably won't see us. The home is in a residential neighborhood on the eastern side of Capitol Hill, a 30-minute walk from the Capitol and a short 10 minute walk to the metro, buses, bike share, and Zipcars. Buy food and flowers at the historic Eastern Market, or dine out at Barracks Row. You can reach the Capitol by foot (30 minutes) or Uber (under 10 minutes), but many visitors use the subway system, called the Metro. The Stadium Armory metro stop is about six blocks away (less than 10 minutes walk) and is on the blue/orange/silver line which takes you directly to the Capitol (Capitol South stop), Museums (Smithsonian stop) and the White House (Metro Centers stop). Of course the Metro will also take you to virtually any other location you hope to visit. There is also a bus stop one block away where you can catch the bus to the historic Union Station located right next to the U.S. Capitol. From Union Station you can walk to the Mall, get the metro, even take a train to your next Amtrak destination. Some guests use the "Circulator" bus which runs a loop around the Mall. You can buy a daily pass at Union Station to hop on and off the Circulator throughout the day. We we also have a bike share and zip car spot within a few blocks. Check-in is at 4, but we accommodate earlier check or luggage drop off whenever possible.

D.G.B.G. Suite in Kingman Park w/ Free Parking!

Completely renovated in Feb 2022. Feel like a DC resident instead of a tourist in a basement suite with separate entrance & HVAC & covered off-street parking space. The suite has a kitchenette and sleeps four between a queen size bed and couch that pulls out into a full size bed. You also have a dining are, full bathroom, and washer/dyer. Take advantage of the free DC Streetcar to ride to Union Station and all the exciting dining and drinking destinations on H Street NE.

Top floor Capitol Hill apartment

Top floor apartment in a traditional 130+ y/o townhouse conversion. There are 2 full flights of stairs to enter the unit--we only recommend this space for those with healthy knees that do not travel with large suitcases. The altitude of the home means extra light, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, and beautiful Capitol views several months of the year!

My sister and I took a week trip to DC for a music festival. We absolutely loved being guests here! It’s a nice cozy apartment with everything you need. They provide the listed amenities and more, with amazing organization and labels! It’s a great spot to catch several bus routes and the nearest metro is a 12-15 min walk away. It was indeed the perfect spot to stay at if you plan to travel around the dmv area. Leo and Diana are very attentive to messages, responding quickly, and will check up on you! Thank you for being such amazing hosts, and if anyone is making a fun trip to DC for any occasion, I highly recommend to stay here!

The location was convenient for my purposes. I was attending a conference at the College Park Marriott. What you get is a bedroom in a residential house. The bedrooms are on the second floor. The bedroom I rented had its own private bathroom, which is the ideal arrangement. Everything was clean. The furniture, light fixtures were all in good order. Bed was comfortable. The host let me use one of her parking passes, which made parking painless.

Lindsay's place was perfect for our 2-night stay. It was squeeky clean and comfortable. Lindsay was most accommodating and gave us some great tips for parking, touring, and getting around D.C. Lindsay's place was on the 2nd floor of her home, and she lives on the first floor. You enter thru a private entrance in the front, and the room and home was private and quiet. The bathroom is shared with one other guest room, although no one was there so we had the bathroom all to ourselves. Parking was directly in front of the house, which is on a cul de sac. Lindsay is an exceptional host. We'd love to stay with her again.

Beautifully decorated studio with everything you’ll need. We absolutely loved our stay here. The location is perfect, within walking distance to the U.S. Capitol, good restaurants. We’d stay here again when we come back to DC next time!
