Our stay at the Sit N' Duck was absolutely perfect! The residence is well laid out with amenities to make your stay as easy and care-free as possible. Mary and Larry provided everything we could have possibly needed, and the washer and dryer were a helpful additional touch. If we wanted a beach day, it was only a 2-minute walk to a very secluded and peaceful section of the beach with great views, the sound of the ocean, and pristine waves. We brought a small beach cart which was easily maneuvered out and down the beach access boardwalk, but if you're packing light it wouldn't be hard to carry everything for the short distance. Even in the rain, there are wonderful covered sitting areas to sit out and enjoy the rain as we read a book or just chatted. Additionally, there's no shortage of things to do nearby in a short drive up to Duck or down to Kitty Hawk or Kill Devil Hills. We couldn't have imagined a better trip to OBX and we look forward to hopefully staying again in the future!

Very clean, well appointed and well located place. Host was very helpful and communicated often. Close and easy to beach, close to Wright Brothers monument. Easy access to shopping and restaurants. We would recommend and will stay again next time we are in the Outer Banks.

We had a great stay. The house was extremely nice and very clean. Comfortable area that was easy to get to local attractions. We plan on returning in the future. She was very nice to deal with and made sure everything was as it should be.

The home was clean and instructions were very easy to follow. Since we were looking for a peaceful location on this trip, it fit the bill. The view was worth the cost. We knew there would be others around, as it was described accurately and clearly as a condo community. Supplies were very sufficient for us, and the owners were responsive. Enjoyed this trip!

This place is a GEM! The apartment was pristine. Decor was cute and offered a relaxing vibe. We loved the black out shades option. Top to bottom I can’t say enough. Rachel had every thing you can imagine you may need, down to a sewing kit. She thought of it all. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. The area was exceptionally quiet but we rode our bikes daily about 15-20 min up to Duck to local restaurants and shops. The back road will take you to the walking/bike trail and keep you off the Main Street. The beach is literally a one min drive to the parking area, which we loved having access to the private entrance. I also genuinely loved the soaps and toiletry samples. We’d stay again in a heartbeat.

The place was great. It was really clean and well kept. Whenever there was any issues they were very responsive. Overall great experience would recommend.

Very cute space to stay. neighborhood was very quiet, wish it would have been closer to walk to more things but that really wasn’t a deal breaker for us as we were out and about the whole time we stayed. Bed was very comfortable and the shower water pressure was 10/10! we at at slice pizza, a recommendation from Sarah, and it was delicious. would stay again when we return to the outer banks

Robert did a great job at communicating the location. We were anywhere between 30-60 min from all the places we wanted to visit in OBX. The residence was clean and quiet. It was a nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle of OBX.

Sam and Katy were wonderful hosts leaving nothing to be desired. Our stay was very comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and the surroundings serene and beautiful. We rode our bikes around and saw a bit of wildlife. The pool was a dream, and so were the accommodations. We made use of the outdoor shower more than once! The large deck outside our door, furnished with cushiony furniture, overlooks the pool and the lovely backyard--a perfect spot for morning coffee. The king size bed and linens made for a very comfy night's sleep, and the full bathroom was equipped with plush bath towels. There were even pool towels, beach towels, chairs, umbrella and more for our use. There was wine in the wine fridge, coffee & Keurig, snacks and a sweet kitchenette for our use. This place is beautifully decorated, tastefully furnished, and amply appointed. We were a short drive from the beaches, fine dining and so many other attractions--the location is ideal. I highly recommend a stay here!

If you are looking for a great place to stay in the outer banks (Duck) as the perfect central location to do anything and everything with all of the comforts of home, amenities for all activities, and a great place to come “home” to after long days of exploring and activities this is IT! Jessica was a great host and has provided everything needed for a comfy stay including everything you need for a day at the beach, a good nights sleep, morning coffee any way you like it, as well as the small touches like quality TP. We were no more than 20 minutes away from anything we wanted to do from Nags head (Jennette’s Pier) to the beginning of the 4x4 beach drive in Corolla. In our short weekend stay we visited the Pier, the largest sand dunes on the east coast, saw alligator, bear and bald eagle (among other wildlife) on the refuges , a day on the beach in Corova seeing the wild horses and great walkable restaurants after seeing deer outside the door. Great place! Highly recommend!

My family and I stayed at woods and waves mid May 2025. The landscape and pool looked better in person than online. The apartment was extremely clean and comfortable. The host Christy and Thomas were very friendly and welcoming. They even heated the pool for our little baby since he doesn’t like the cold water. I would absolutely come back I wish we stayed longer than just a weekend.

We had a great stay. Everything was neat and clean. Comfortable. Lots of dishes to use. The pool was nice and the little walk to the beach was nice. Loved being able to sit on the balcony and see the ocean. 10/10!

Our stay at Erica’s Airbnb exceeded expectations. It was exactly as described—private, spotless, beautifully decorated, and stocked with thoughtful extras. The location was perfect: centrally located to everything, yet tucked away in a peaceful, quiet spot. It had everything we needed and more. Our favorite part was being able to walk right out the door and hike up Jockey’s Ridge to catch the sunset. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone vacationing in the area. Thank you, Erica!

To start off, this was mine and my boyfriend’s first time doing vacation by ourselves as we are only 18 years old. Christina was very polite, friendly, and personable upon meeting. On top of that, she was very responsive to any of our questions! It means a lot to us that she was so trusting in letting us stay at her suite despite the common assumptions among young adults behaviors. The suite itself was very cozy and perfect for two! The shower being spacious was such a pleasant surprise. The hot tub was cherry on top. Our favorite activity during the stay being the bikes she kindly lends to guests. The suite was very clean and the AC worked great. Close walk to the beach & any stores you have in mind! Would definitely come back again😁

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was exactly how it looked in the pictures. It was in a very convenient location close to restaurants, shops, & the beach. We would recommend to others and come again!

Absolutely phenomenal, 10 Star host!! Pat communicated with me throughout our booking and stay. During our stay we did have a few questions and she answered quickly. She has a convenient ice maker within the space and while we were there it broke. She immediately ordered a new one and was going to send Chuck to get us bags of ice until the new one arrived. We weren't worried about it but just the thought of them doing that was a plus! She met us at check-in and was very thorough explaining not just everything about the space but also a whole lot about the area, places to go, things to do and such. Both Pat and Chuck are extremely friendly and easy to talk to!! All the extras she included for us was absolutely amazing! She truly thinks about her guests and we could tell it's not just a money thing for them! Just as described, the beach is literally about 100 steps away and so totally enjoyable!! We will definitely be staying at Heathsville OBX in the near future! Thank you so, so much!

The location of this Airbnb was perfect and Gia the host provided ample recommendations and helpful information making our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. The accommodations were just like the pictures, very clean, and the hot tub was amazing. Would love to stay here again on our next visit to OBX.

Rhiana and James were great hosts. Very responsive and gave super easy check in instructions. The place was very clean and perfect. The hot tub was awesome as well. Location was great and located a short distance to just about anything you could imagine. 10/10 would recommend and we will definitely be staying here again if we come back to the OBX.

Mike and Corrine were absolutely amazing hosts, it felt like staying with family. We felt incredibly comfortable. They went above and beyond. They gave us local recommendations, made sure to message us to be careful when there was an incoming storm, they really are just the warmest people. We’ve stayed in huge homes on the beach front plenty of times and nothing will compare to this place. It was absolutely perfect for a couple, there was so much space for us. It was very well kept and clean, and the decor is so cute. Only a short walk to the beach too. The deer visiting every morning and evening was absolutely magical. Consider yourself incredibly lucky if you get to stay here, it’ll be the best part of your OBX vacation. We were dragging our feet when we had to leave.

House was pristine! Excellent set up for the space. Plenty of room for our party of four. Had all the things you would need for vacation. Hot tub was fabulous close to all the things you could possibly want to do. The kids really appreciated the bikes. This is a split unit, but it feels very private. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!!
