We felt very comfortable and safe at Raisa's place. The house was very clean and quiet, as was the neighborhood. We especially loved the four neighborhood cats that kept watch over everything. There is a nice walking path along the water. It's short but pretty and well-maintained. I don't recommend walking in the area over the water, however, since it was very unclean. The house was just as advertised, and it had everything in the kitchen and bathroom that we needed. We also found the bed very comfortable. We came for a concert at Virginia Beach, and this was a great, budget-friendly alternative to a hotel there. The Dome was a manageable driving distance, and we found plenty to do near Portsmouth. We highly recommend the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk and the Dismal Swamp State Park (just a half-hour drive in NC). Thanks to Raisa for being so responsive and friendly!

The property was cozy and met the needs for my short stay. The owner even dropped off a few beers for me to enjoy. I will definitely stay there again.

We LOVED Dottie’s place!! This is what Airbnb’s are meant to be. It just felt so homey and cozy. It was very clean, well decorated, and thoughtfully stocked with coffee, snacks, and toiletries you may have forgotten to bring. I also really, really appreciated that the water container on the Keurig was clean and dry!! The towels were really high quality, and there was great water pressure in the shower. The bed was very comfy and had the right amount of blankets on it. Parking was very easy and free right out front! We had a wonderful stay and can’t recommend this place enough!!

Lovely carriage house on large and private property, very quiet and peaceful. Nikki's home is elegant and delightful. When we arrived it was set up for our arrival with the most romantic and dreamy lighting with music, my husband and I were both delighted!! The apartment style carriage is well decorated with tasteful art and antiques. Nikki and her family were the perfects hosts, ensuring everything we (and our pups) needed during our extended stay. 100% would recommend to anyone traveling in the area, you will be well looked after by Nikki.

We enjoyed a peaceful stay after long days on bikes. We were in town for the NC Coastal ride. After riding for 30+ miles each day we came back to a tranquil location. The home is immaculate. Every item one would ever need was provided. It was perfect to have a full size fridge for our supplies. Beth even left firewood in case we wanted to enjoy the fire pit. We were able to stretch and get in a yoga session on the dock. Yoga mats were provided. The home feels like a ship in that it is surrounded by water. The waves and fresh air made for incredible sleep each night. An osprey nest is outside the window. With the binoculars we were able to watch the progress of the nest and the amazing pair catch fish. The communication throughout the stay was spot on. The “billion dollar” view is remarkable, but the amenities and care from the homeowner make this is top notch vacation spot.

Location was close to where I needed, very spacious and peaceful. Mr. Richardson responded promptly to my concerns which shows he is attentive to the needs of guests.

This is a small house on a four-lane road, but there is moderate traffic most of the time and little traffic at night. It is tidy and clean, with a well-stocked kitchen, good linens, and comfortable furniture and beds. It is pet-friendly and there is a small, unfenced back yard, as well as good areas to walk a dog nearby. It is a little over a mile to the waterfront, and an easy walk down and back. A grocery story, fast food, a restaurant, and CVS and Walgreen's are located very close by for convenience. The major drawbacks are a busy road (which is not an issue most of the time) and the small bathroom, which didn't bother me but was a bit cramped for my husband who is a lot taller and could use more elbow room. We have stayed here four times now and find it a very reasonable place for a couple to four people to stay. We'd be happy to rent this house again.

Julia's place was perfect for our short one-night stay. It was a perfect location, and had everything we needed. Really appreciated the back step-free entrance and private parking area. Hope we can stay again on our way back to S.C.

We’re returning guests for the 4th or 5th year. We always have a great experience with this host. A safe, secure site with good accommodations for four people. Steve continually updates the facility.

For someone looking a quiet place out of the way to fish, visit friends, or a beach day the simplicity of this place is hard to beat. Has everything you could need for a peaceful week away.

We had to attend a funeral and after looking for a place, came across this place. We are regular travellers and would rate Deshanay's home/duplex as one of the nicest, great location, and real value of all the places we searched in the area. The place was very clean, modern, had everything we needed to feel at home, the patio was an added surprise. It was an easy drive to all the places we needed to be.The house/apt was also located nearby to a supermarket which was handy and a few steps to lots of restaurants and cafes. We would highly recommend this wonderful apartment/home.

Great location. We enjoyed the cafe and pool within the community. As well as walking around in the evening. Great sunset views. The whole condo was very clean, nice towels, and plenty of kitchen utensils for cooking.

Great location for a secluded get away. Relaxing and comfortable condo with plenty of space. There is not much in the town of Roper, but a short 15 minute drive will put you in a town large enough to grab whatever you may have forgotten or need. Check in was easy and the on site manager and groundskeeper were both very kind and knowledgeable. Would not hesitate to recommend or book again!

Nice and inviting place. Despite the cold weather, the area is great for exploring historic landmarks and easy to get to other attractions and areas of business for the week.

Dr. Chen was very friendly and responsive! The location is ideal as it is a short walk to several amazing restaurants and attractions but private enough you feel safe. The neighborhood is peaceful and easy to navigate, would highly recommend staying here!
