Apartment vacation rentals in Agios Nikolaos

Absolutely fantastic, five stars quite honestly isn’t enough for Menelaos and his beautiful penthouse villa. The villa is perfectly located….it really couldn’t be closer to the sea, with unique views of Mochlos, the island and the coasts to the east and west. It’s equipped with everything you could possibly need for a long or short stay, and the balcony is just perfect….the hardest thing was to drag ourselves away from it! Most importantly Menelaos is an absolutely perfect host, we’ve never had a welcome like it and we immediately felt at home, Menelaos is a true gentleman. We’re lucky to spend quite a bit of time in Crete and will definitely return to Menelaos Penthouse Villa….in fact I’m already planning our next visit!

Fantastic apartment in a beautiful location. Very clean, fixtures and furnishings of a high standard. Shops and restaurants on the doorstep but still very peaceful. Amazing balcony on the edge of the sea.

Highlight of our trip. If you want a quiet beautiful place far from tourist crowds this is it. The flat has a well equipped kitchen, AC and looks much better than the pictures. The terrace is simply wonderful. You have a beautiful view on the sea while Having breakfast or dinner there. Mochlos is quiet but with a cozy, small town centre with some good tavernas and nice bars where you can watch the sun set. The beach is small, mixed pebble/sand and less than 5 mins away. A really nice sand beach is at Pachia Ammos. If you're looking for a calm place to relax and do nothing we can recommend it very much.

What a beautiful and special place! We had gorgeous views for sunrises/sunsets and it was a more quiet/relaxing place stop for our extended trip in Crete. We experienced quite a bit while we were there-Spinalonga, Elounda, Kolokithia beach (go early at 7-8 before the boats come in), Agio Nikolas(get the goat’s milk frozen yogurt) and we hiked to the windmill farm(8-10 miles) and went to the Plaka beach(bring water shoes). Lily was so helpful and pleasant and the place was perfect for our needs! Oh and we loved the food at Porta and Carob Tree;they seem touristy but the staff were pleasant (not pushy) and the food was fantastic. I hope we can come back one day!! ❤️❤️❤️

This place is the best place to stay, quite and private, outdoor patio for enjoy cafe or beer but close to great public beach with free parking or waking 20 minutes, same time remote spot to go anywhere and not staying in crazy busy city where is night live and traffic like crazy. 9 minutes to Agios Nikolas if you like that , 1.5 h to Vai beach where Palm trees like in tropical place, 30 minutes to Iropetra and Myrtos on African side on island, beautiful. 30 minutes to 4000 years olive tree and waterfall canyon.

Mairi’s apartment has been amazing and easily the best holiday accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. The apartment itself is huge and incredibly well stocked. It has felt like being at home. The kitchen has everything you need and the bedrooms are really comfortable. The lounge and first bedroom both connect to the huge balcony which overlooks the harbour and beach. The apartment was very clean and there was lots of spare bedding. The air conditioning in every room was very much appreciated. George was very responsive and helped whenever we needed him, including when we needed to extend our check-out time. The location of the apartment was perfect - with supermarkets, cafes and shops just a few feet away and the town center only a 5-minute walk. The marina feels more “local” than the more touristy area around the lake, which I liked. Overall I cannot fault Mairi’s apartment and the service we received. It’s been a wonderful holiday and we’ll definitely be staying here again!

Very nice welcome the host is super welcoming ,superb apartment with swimming pool 15 minutes from agios nickolas and 40 minutes from heraklion too small for 3 people especially with large suitcases,but for 2 people it is nickel apart from its very clean hotel and everything you need to cook microwave and……..and especially welcome with a basket of fruits that is a pleasure I recommend.

Every aspect was wonderful! Close to everything with car but absolutely private and everyone there is like family. Above and beyond for sure

From the day of arrival I felt the attention and helpfulness of the hostess. I was picked up at the bus station, taken by my car to the supermarket and then to the suite. Who would do this once again if all is well. Helped to find the right dentist even in another city - I'm very grateful for that. Despite the fact that the suite was away from the center and adjacent to a busy street, the beach was close and perfectly located. Cleanliness and order - 100 points. Kitchen dishes and spices, hygiene products were in place, there was even a beach handball. I recommend it - you won't regret it.

Our stay was very pleasant. Maria very helpful and very friendly. The apartment is very clean easily accessible and with very nice style in terms of aesthetics and practicality at the same time. Definitely a super choice if you want to stay in Agio and be in a nodal point with a sea view.

You have to stay here, everything more than perfect. Beautiful place in a wonderful location, but best of all are the owners. They have as well a restaurant right there the best fish we had eaten in all Crete. Recommend 100%. Thank you for everything.

Our stay was great! The home was super clean, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The location was great, close to everything but at the same time quiet . The host was very friendly and helpful, always available for anything we needed. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Agios Nikolaos! Highly recommend!

Christos's accommodation was even better than in the photos, everything was very clean. Christos welcomed us warmly with small gifts in addition... 🤗 he was always kind, very responsive and gave good advice. The pool is a plus with the heat, and deckchairs available to enjoy this charming place. Everything is perfectly maintained. Recommended!

Of all my trips to Greece, this was the first place I stayed where I just had to sit on the balcon and relax. Wat a wonderful view! The place where the house is located is calm and surrounded only by Greek nature. What we could want more? Dimitrios and his wife are very welcoming. Our stay was a gift of peace and tranquility in a separate apartment with its own terrace and barbecue inside the property. We felt at home. Everything was spotless and we found some extras in the kitchen (water, beer, coffee...) that we greatly appreciated. Mel and Micchael are fantastic hosts, charming, friendly and respectful. They provided us with a compendium of good recommendations for eastern Crete and also everything we needed. The shared pool was always available to us, and we fell in love with the kittens. We are very grateful to Mel and Micchael, we wish them the best. If we return to eastern Crete, we will certainly stay here again!

small townhouse on a small quiet street. Space, air conditioning appreciated, large bathroom, good wifi connection. If you like to sleep in the dark, plan to bring a mask. Ideal location for the car but not easy to park, good for a small car. 15 min walk to the port and the beach. Supermarket 2 mm away. Agios is a very beautiful city, lively in the evening. Lots of beautiful villages nearby, lovely people, good restaurants, in short, a very nice vacation. I recommend it. Maria is very nice and was responsive to our little problem.

Magdalena and Vasilis are very helpful and have supported us in every matter. The apartment is well-equipped, clean and as shown in the pictures. We felt very comfortable.

It was just nice to vacation in the beautifully renovated old town house. Georgios was always available, even wanted to help us when we had an accident with the rental car. You live very privately and from the roof terrace you have a beautiful view, you can even watch the fishermen.

My boyfriend and I spent five nights here for my 22nd birthday and it did not disappoint. The photos on here do not do the place justice and the local area is just the right amount of quiet busy also with an abundance of restaurants and bars. We didn’t get a hire car as we managed with the local buses as they are so much cheaper and we were able to get to beaches such as Saridari and Paralia Psaromoura, which we would recommend. We also would highly recommend a boat tour to Dia island if you are able too. Restaurant wise in Gournes we cannot recommend Nami Restaurant enough and it is a must! The beach opposite is a lovely shallow beach but we aware it can be quite windy hence why we explored other beaches - would advise if u go to these beaches you leave early (especially if u want a sun lounger)! Already missing this place and Giorgo of course. All the best, Millie and Nathan :))

We had an amazing stay. The location was perfect, with tons of walkable restaurants and bars nearby. There was so much going on in the area, and the lively atmosphere made it really fun to explore. One of our favorite parts was the hot tub on the balcony. It was the perfect place to relax at the end of the day. The homemade wine was a really nice touch and absolutely delicious. We’d definitely come back.

It was wonderful! The apartment was easy to reach by car. Even when entering the property, the view does not disappoint! Maria was always available, was available for any questions and the apartment is simply an absolute dream! Clean, a lovingly landscaped courtyard, a warm welcome. I felt completely comfortable and the hot tub was the absolute highlight! I would come back anytime and highly recommend it. 😊

We had an amazing time at Katerina's place. Katerina was a wonderful host, very helpful and responsive, always eager to help and share some recommendations. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The pool was very nice and pleasant to relax at. Katerina's place is only a few minutes away from nice beaches and a town called Agios Nikolaos where you can find a lot of good restaurants and shops. The area is very calm, but would definitely recommend having a car - there are not a lot of places in a walkable distance. Overall we had a great time and were sad to leave. We hope to come back one day.
