Icod is known as the City of the Dragon, for hosting the famous millennial Dragon of Icod de los Vinos, one of the most emblematic symbols of the island of Tenerife. The old town of the city has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest due to its historical importance and that also hosts a commercial area, complementary to those existing on the Baja Island.
