Our private room features 1 or 2 futon beds on traditional tatami floors. The shared areas include bathrooms, dining space and a work/lounge/library area. The hostel Saruya Hostel opened in 2015 in Fujiyoshida, a city at the bottom of Mt Fuji. We renovated an 80 years old wooden house to create a place that allows our guests to experience time and space through carefully selected art, design and objects, mixing traditional Japanese inspiration with modern aesthetics.

Deep in the mountains of Tokyo, it is usually operated as a members-only co-working/vacation space, but you can stay here as a trial use. Surrounded by greenery, water, and mountain paths, it is hard to believe it is in Tokyo. You can work and stay comfortably in a wood-scented room with a view of the greenery outside.
