There are no neighbors (single location). The beautiful town of Jaidhof with a castle and recreational pond is about 500 m away. Krems an der Donau is about 18 km away. The town of Gföhl with shops and restaurants is 1 km away. At the Krumau reservoir (10 km), you have the opportunity for a boat trip.

Our cottage is located on a semi-remote in a forest by the Stropnice River. While this may not be the case at first glance, there are neighbors nearby, but they can't be seen from the cottage. Ilse’s place in the Wachau Valley was absolutely incredible. The unit was spotless, and the view from the window was even more breathtaking in person. The WiFi was fast and reliable, which made working with that view an absolute joy. The surrounding area is stunning, perfect for scenic bike rides— and there’s a convenient supermarket just a short walk away. Ilse was a wonderful host: warm, welcoming, and full of great local tips. She made sure I had everything I needed for a perfect four-night stay.

We spent two nights with Andreas in his log cabin "Nevada". We enjoyed the tranquility there very much. The veranda of the cottage invites you to relax with loungers and seating and you have a beautiful view over the yard of the many paddocks. Horse enthusiasts will get their money's worth here and also have the opportunity to bring their own animals. Highly recommended for a quiet weekend in nature.
