Many of the materials used in this house were either reused from old local houses or milled on the property itself, giving it a lot of character, while remaining modern. Great location in town on the edge of the forest. Trail from cabin leads to Deer Creek Tribute Trail System and suspension bridge across Deer Creek Canyon. (AllTrails>Nevada City> Deer Creek Tribute Trail). Park right in front. Extra room for RV or boat. Cozy loft has queen bed, window and skylight; access by a six-step ladder. Convertible couch easily and quickly converts to flat bed. After you check out, you are welcome to leave your car safely near the cabin and return later to pick it up.

Russtic Roadside Retreat is a small glamping cabin in a private corner of our property. It includes a queen bed, small "camp" kitchen, flush toilet, shower (towels are provided), small deck, BBQ (unless a fire ban is in effect) and electric heater.( Note that it can be cold in the cabin when the temps dip into the 20s and 30s.) Pets are welcome but must not be allowed to get on the bed. Historic Nevada City is just a short walk from the site.
