Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Wasco County

What gave this place value was the convenience of having my boat parked right in front of our door. I could clean up the boat and get it ready for the next days fishery. I could walk across the street to Bob’s Texas steakhouse for very reasonably priced food and drinks. Located directly behind the Gorge outfitters store, I was able to get what I need every morning and off to the fishery before most or even getting out of bed. Wendy was a great host and I was there if we needed her.

The property was beautiful. Tastefully decorated. Kitchen fully equipped and loved that, making it easy to make anything. Balconies looked out on the river. Perfect for coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. Lindsay was a great host, providing a list of things to do in the area. The only thing I would say is most of the things to do are in Hood River but it’s a quick ride with gorgeous scenery along the way. We are a family of 5 - my husband and I and our three teenagers. Property was very comfortable for us.

The best part was the view from the living room and deck of the river and valley. The bed and linens were very nice. The location is remote, without mobile service, but there is WiFi in the house. You have to carry your bags up a flight of stairs, but it’s nice to hang out on the top floor for the view. The A/C works really well. I wouldn’t stay here again because of the remoteness, but I’m very glad we did this time to experience the beauty of the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. Everything worked fine, it was very clean. An interesting house in a very small town on the river. You could watch the para-sailers on the Columbia river. Not from the house, but it was in a beautiful area. It was set up for dogs, which we appreciated because we brought our dog, Bowen. Big beautiful fenced yard. Our dog spent a lot of time back there. Beautiful plants too, lots of colorful perennials, if a dog ran over it, it would be ok. We knew that there were limited store and restaurant around so we brought our own food. Worked fine. We enjoyed the house and the small town and would come back!

We loved the place, and Scott and Carrie were super easy to communicate with! They met our every need, and made our vacation weekend wonderful!

We had a great stay! The unit was comfy and quiet and had many thoughtful touches, like automatic lighting that brightened the door and steps as you approached them. We were in The Dalles to visit family and enjoyed having this homebase to go unwind in. The place has a gorgeous view of the river, especially at sunset! We'd definitely stay here again!

This was a great spot for spring skiing at timberline. It’s <5 minutes from summit pass parking and about 20 min from the lodge. It was a comfortable spot to rest and cook after a day of activity. One really nice feature I was pleasantly surprised at was the river/forest area in the back, which provided a peaceful soundtrack while on the deck and while falling asleep. I’d stay again - thanks Nat and Nadja!

Super clean and an awesome location, within walking distance to everything in government camp. Just a cozy vibe in a clean new space.

Wonderful weekend trip! Me, my husband, son and dogs had a wonderful stay. The location is convenient to everything in government camp. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tubs. It was great to have a washer/dryer and heated garage. We can’t wait to come back and explore more!

We're has an excellent Memorial Day weekend at Audra's house! Celebrated a birthday, went snowboarding and relaxed. It was perfect. The house is lovely and we felt right at home.

We had a fantastic stay! The condo was spacious, well-appointed, and perfectly located—just a short drive to Mount Hood Meadows. The clubhouse amenities (pool, hot tub, and sauna) were a great bonus for relaxing after a day on the mountain. Looking forward to making this an annual trip. Thanks again!

Samantha's place was such an amazing spot for us to post up with our 1 year old! It's just a minute drive into town, yet we could still walk to the local bakery and Wilson Park as a family. The layout is so spacious and provides a lot of privacy for our kid to nap upstairs while we could have full volume conversations downstairs. We really enjoyed having dinners in the backyard as well. She also was extremely helpful in getting a microwave shipped to the rental so that we could use it for meals - above and beyond. We hope to return!

Place was as described. Very clean floors, especially with my little baby crawling everywhere. Jenice was very responsive and accommodating with our timing. Would stay here again.

Well kitted out camper perfect for 2 adults 2 kids. Great spot for exploring the Gorge and relaxing setting overlooking the orchards, Dalles and Mt Adams. Mary made us feel very welcome and we would be glad to revisit.

Perfect for two families. Quiet with great view of Mount Hood. Kitchen had everything, beds comfortable, cozy fireplace and warm wood-stove. We all loved your book collection! And games. Thank you for lovey weekend in your home!

My son and I had a wonderful stay at Jill's place in Hood River. The property is in a convenient location (close to local grocery, cute bakery, downtown, etc.), yet the setting was very peaceful. We enjoyed strolling through downtown Hood River, eating a picnic lunch on the waterfront, and hiking the local trails with wildflowers in bloom! Jill's place is very comfortable, stylishly decorated, spacious, and clean. We appreciated the fun selection of games and puzzles, too! Jill was a great host and we will definitely come back to stay again in the future!

We had an incredible stay at Kelly’s cabin. It was way more spacious than we even expected from the pictures which was a nice surprise. It was extremely clean and comfortable. There are a couple flights of stairs (if you’re traveling with a baby or someone elderly) but was totally fine for us. The location is very convenient. It was so nice that snowshoes and hiking poles are provided, though the trails were packed down enough that we didn’t use them. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cabin or book another stay here!

Steven’s place was perfect for our family gathering, and for our dog. Everything worked well, the place was well stocked, clean, comfortable, and in a fantastic location. The host was very accommodating and responsive. We all loved it!

Centrally located and walkable to the Government Camp strip this place was amazing. Plenty of space, many bathrooms and lounging areas for large groups. I would highly recommend and we would definitely stay again. Thanks for everything Justin!
