Luminous Architectural Gem

I've been on 10 total airBnb trips & this one was the best! This space was private, quiet, and gorgeous. Very roomy for 2 people. It made for the perfect getaway for a birthday trip. Shoshannah is a helpful & friendly host. Do not hesitate to book this place! Also, the retro fridge is so cute & it is a lot bigger in person!

BlakeMoore

EmilyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
My husband and I loved staying at Blakemoore! Quiet, private, and away from everything. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and relaxing. While the place itself takes you back in time, just know there isn’t much to do in the area when you visit New Kent. If you visit on a Saturday, there’s a farmers market a short drive away, next to the New Kent Winery.

Woodland Retreat w/ Sauna, Cold Plunge & Hot Tub

BettieRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This was the perfect spot for our wedding anniversary—quiet, private (no neighbors in sight), and surrounded by nature with a grocery store nearby. The sauna was a 10/10. It rained, so we skipped the firepit, but the string lights were a nice touch. The hot tub was a bit cloudy, but we didn’t address it after a (thankfully injury-free) car accident in Richmond. The cold plunge wasn’t filled—it didn’t work out for us to have time to prep it, but I would’ve loved to try it if it had been ready. The house was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable with plenty of towels, dishes, and thoughtful touches like snacks, coffee/tea, and streaming access. A few extras—like a flat sheet on the bed, bottled water, or a robe for walking to/from the sauna—could’ve added a bit more value. Overall, a peaceful and relaxing escape!

Perfect river retreat - views and fun bunkroom!

AshleighRating, 5 starstoday
Another wonderful stay for a weekend getaway with other couples and kids. Bunk room and garage game room were perfect separation for kids to have their own space. Lots of nature in this area- crabs, eagles, perch, turtles, frogs and catfish to name a few critters! House had every convenience of home- trash bags, laundry supplies, dishwasher pods, soap, laundry baskets and cleaners. It was so nice to arrive and not have to go out for basic supplies!

Rutledge on Pine Grove Farm

KellyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I love this home so very much. It is well renovated for being a historic house, and it is quiet and peaceful. I woke up one morning to look out the window and see a mama deer with her two babies. I also saw an adorable ground hog, bunny, and a turtle! I love sitting in the front screened porch and sipping coffee. The beds are very comfortable and I slept so well. If you venture the trails during the summer, be sure to wear good bug spray cause the mosquitoes and ticks are out in force in the back woods! My best friends and I are already talking about planning a Fall trip to stay here again. Dr. Sprenkle is also so kind. Wonderful stay!

Much needed peaceful, private getaway!! Fun unique setting. Nice newly updated bathroom and kitchen were a great addition to the otherwise rustic ambience.

Fairway Oaks Oasis

ChymeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a family reunion of sorts—one of us was graduating from school. All 8 of us piled into the home and still had room to entertain guests who stopped by. This home is outstanding, fully gut renovated and outfitted with nice appliances and countertops. The furniture and beddings were top quality. Lucas was particularly a pleasant host, making tremendous efforts to make us feel home and cared about. As for the location, it was great to be away from the relentless hustle and bustle of city life and closer to nature—plenty of deers, cows and horses. But then the compromise was that going into the city was a hike (30-40 minutes to Richmond). Overall, we had an amazing family time at this home and would definitely recommend and consider coming back! Merci tres bien Lucas et Candice

Ashland Aerie

JenniferRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Mary's listing was perfect & exactly what I needed. I'm a host myself from out of state & needed a place to stay on the way to my own place on the Bay. I was late getting in due to the long drive & the easy directions & ease of checkin allowed me to show up, shower, & collapse into a very comfy bed and sleep. When I realized I was out of travel essentials, Mary quickly responded to let me know of local shopping options nearby, as well as telling me there were some things available at the Airbnb to use. While I didn't need it, the kitchenette area was very well equipped and there were even creamers for the coffee in the fridge, which was a great touch. The carport was appreciated as it was raining when I showed up and the separate entrance was like walking up to a treehouse and incredibly peaceful. The town of Ashland was less than ten minutes away & I stopped at a great coffee place & the farm market before heading out. I was enamored. I will absolutely stay here again!
