Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Viseu District

Lisbon was nice, but our vacation started here. Having this beautiful home and a car, we explored the region and had a great time. Owners recommendations led to our favorites experiences on the trip. Can't recommend enough. The pics don't do it justice either, and the pics are amazing.

This is a very special place with beauty everywhere you look including the architecture of the house utilising the natural materials of the region to blend into the landscape. Francisca cooked us a delicious three course meal including wine, delivered on a tray on our first night what a treat ! On Francisca’s recommendation we had a very authentic wine and food tour with Bambuti Tours we were overwhelmed with Portugal hospitality for the day and Viewed some amazing scenery, a great way to explore the valley. Casa Do Largo is situated in some of the most beautiful scenery in the valley and we enjoyed a whole day there , with a walk to the beautiful river first then a day enjoying the pool and the most comfortable home. This has been our favourite spot in Portugal and we would highly recommended you book it for at least 3 nights.

We can’t say enough about how magical our stay was. The unit is adorable and so unique. We loved the setting- the vineyards, the birds. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. The sunset was glorious. The pool was a welcome respite from the heat. There is only one air conditioner in one bedroom, which in conjunction with a fan did a reasonable job of keeping the house cool on a very hot day. The kitchen is fine for light cooking.

Peace, stars, mountains, lge bed (I'm 6'4"), bath+shower & friendly cats. It had it all,apart from cats, but no bad thing with a wren nesting near. Bed&pillows v comfy; view breathtaking. Walking the drive at dusk,enjoyed swooping bats & glow worm. Snippets of other reviews came to mind: 'you need to be a confident driver to handle track to Quinta' (true but we’re used to bumpy tracks with grass up centre. Tip: deactivate proximity sensors or you'll have 6 mins of beeping); 'kitchen isn't a cook's kitchen' (true, it was surprisingly basic, missing a tray, colander & jug for inst. Sure co-host would drive over had we asked as he did with hairdryer; on which note, a mirror by plug upstairs would be welcome).Highlights = Coimbra, &Torre (Portugal's peak) both an hour's drive; sunrise after dawn chorus; cooling in pool surrounded by lavender, citrus &olive trees; wood-floored lookout next to bedroom(tho a tad hot) & cooler sitting room with stone fireplace below. 6night stay almost perfect

Quiet and quiet place. Extremely comfortable, super beautiful and modern house. Paulo is always very communicative and provides tips about the place. There are wonderful museums in the area. I recommend it 100%! Definitely a place to repeat!

Dajas Douro Valley was perhaps more beautiful than the photos! It was the perfect place to relax between adventures in Lisbon and Porto. We especially loved spending time by the pool by day and cozying up with a bottle of wine by the fire pit by night. Alexandra and Tatiana were very welcoming. A few tips for future guests: The property is nestled in the hillside which means it is at least 20 minutes from towns/restaurants. We rented a car which was helpful for exploring nearby areas, but be prepared for many narrow, steep and winding roads! We found that Waze gave better directions (less rustic) than Google maps. We also wished we had stopped at a grocery store to stock up on some food for our villa before arriving. I also recommend booking reservations at local wineries as we didn’t have much luck just showing up (midweek at least). My husband and I would absolutely stay here again!

This place was amazing, way bigger than it looks in the photos, with everything we needed and incredible views. The host was super helpful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend and stay again if I get the chance!

We so enjoyed our stay! The house is amazing. Historic and cozy charm with modern amenities. We had so much fun with the soccer field, the pool, the pool table, hammock, and exploring the grounds. We picked lemons off the tree and made lemonade and a lemon dessert! We soo enjoyed meals at the big outdoor tables- wonderful to accommodate our large group of 7. The daily delivery of fresh bread is a treat!! We enjoyed walking into town and visiting the butcher, bakery, fish market and such. It’s a 25-minute walk through lovely hills, though there is not a sidewalk and the traffic was difficult to navigate at times, but we also drove to town. Sitting outside with morning coffee overlooking the valley was one of my favorite parts! My daughter and fiancé stayed in the detached cottage and found it to be so cozy and comfortable. Lastly, Isabel was very accommodating with some last minute changes, which I really appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay!

José's estate is beautiful with stunning views of the hills. The accommodation is very comfortable. And the location is ideal for exploring the local area. José was always very available. Breakfast is included, hearty and delicious. I would highly recommend this rental.

What an amazing place! Everything about our stay was perfect. The location, the communication with the host, the small touches in the apartment on our arrival, the magnificent view, the pool, the comfortable rooms, the cleanliness of the place, the wine, and especially the generosity of the hosts who showed us the facilities where they produce their wines. We had a vacation that exceeded our expectations and we couldn't recommend this place more. Thank you so much!

Cozy space and the snooker table was the icing on the cake, top!

If you want quiet cute old village stay. We stayed for a month and enjoyed watching the river and the start of the changing of the leaves. The house is ready to move in how ever long you want to stay with everything needed. The host is very nice.I would come back

Beautiful and cozy mto accommodation, could have more towels for when one was wet to use another.

Great space, nice, we were there during the blackout that hit Portugal and Spain and we were super calm and safe. The host was super concerned and super attentive at all times. We felt more than at home. The place is beautiful and with easy access to all areas of the Serra da Estrela and its surroundings. The landscape is amazing and the place is wonderful. We will definitely be back. It has a fireplace, air-conditioning, heating, a spacious and super clean place. Very well maintained. Wonderful! Speechless! It couldn't have been better. Better stay, we felt safe and at home the whole time!

Spectacular setting wish we had more time to enjoy the place. Clean and comfortable. Full kitchen. Needs a car to get to. Looks like the photos. Bring all your own food then you don’t have to leave.

Really great apartment and location. Absolutely beautiful. Quiet and huge garden with a really nice pool. The garden is well maintained and fruit and vegetables are growing. Owners are friendly and really helpful. The apartment and kitchen are well equipped and really clean. Would definitely recommend this place and would return.

Natalia's place completely matches the photos. It was ideal for a few days of rest. The surrounding space is totally private, with a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and barbecue available in a beautiful garden with an oriental touch. The house is very well designed for people with mobility difficulties. Well decorated and with everything you need to spend a few days. I will certainly return and totally recommend it! As if that wasn't enough, this house overlooks the sunset. Communication was easy, both were super friendly. Perfect!

We are very happy with the accommodation! From the warm welcome to the attention to detail, everything contributed to a comfortable and peaceful stay. The space is cozy, larger than we thought, well maintained and with a wonderful view, ideal for relaxing after a day full of adventures. An experience we certainly want to repeat! 🏡✨

The house is in very good condition, everything is clean and with the essential utensils for a good stay. The pans and dishes were missing, which Filipe immediately provided as soon as we asked him. Thank you Filipe for the hospitality. I'll stay here again the next time I come to Seia.

Absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to go back!!! Adrianne was great dropping by each morning to have a little tidy in the kitchen and make breakfast. The view of the Douro valley from poolside and the rooms was incredible. Can’t say enough good things about our stay!
