Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Val de Louyre et Caudeau

Everything you hope for in a AirBNB/ Gite in France! We stayed one week with our teenage kids this October. The house is old but has every comfort needed including a large fire place and a washing machine. The atmosphere is right and every room is decorated in a unique way. The garden is large with lots of places to sit, lounge and a table to have breakfast, lunch and even a bbq for dinner. We spend lots of time in the hot tub and at the very nice heated pool. Pascale is a wonderful host, she waited for our late arrival, she had snacks and even breakfast for us to get started, she provided nice bathrobes and towels for the pool, had great local recommendations and was always available for a chat. The place is a little secluded but that was just right for us. Lot’s of fields and forests with plenty of wildlife, we did lots of long hikes with the dog. And for a visit to the market, a restaurant, castles, etc most places are less than 30 minute drive. Highly recommended!

Un très bon séjour passé chez Evelyne et Philippe. Le logement est très agréable, la chambre est très spacieuse et très propre et les hôtes sont très attentionnés. Petit déjeuner très bon, avec du fromage local. Mention spéciale pour l’accès direct au jardin, très pratique lorsque l’on a un chien.

We really enjoyed our stay. Christophe was very friendly and we enjoyed our visit with him on the terrace. A nice breakfast was provided that we really appreciated. We were able to park our motorcycle right in the enclosed yard. Thank you to Christophe and his wife for sharing their lovely space!

Nadine et Daniel sont des hôtes chaleureux, accueillants. Une visite guidée du domaine nous a été faite dès notre arrivée, nous contant l’histoire de ce gite familial. Le petit déjeuner était parfait! Notre séjour a été ponctué des recommandations de Nadine nous conseillant des restaurants et activités à faire aux alentours. Un véritable coup de cœur pour ce havre de paix bucolique et un grand merci pour ces moments d’authenticité.

WOW. What a place! Our stay could not have been better. Granted the sun was shining all weekend which always makes things better but aside from that the property and surrounding area is breathtaking. We ate in the first night but then decided to eat in the restaurant the next two nights. The food was outstanding (thanks Able) and the service was exceptional (thanks Anna) A very kind and welcoming family that made our stay everything we had hoped for. Will definitely be back. P.s great for the kids. A huge garden for them to run around in, swimming pool, trampoline and slackline. Hours of entertainment.

Un endroit top pour un repos total au milieu de la nature et des chevaux 🐎 ❤️ Un endroit bien pensé avec tout le confort et de la belle qualité. Nous avons adoré chiller dans cette cabane dans les arbres. La literie est top et l’endroit vraiment paisible. Nous y reviendrons 🥰

très bel accueil chaleureux par Jocelyne. calme absolu et panorama magnifique de la chambre. Petit dejeuner généreux avec des confitures maison excellentes. Point de chute parfait pour visiter la région. On y retournera !

Très bon séjour dans une belle bâtisse confortable. La piscine est appréciable car il est difficile de trouver des zones de baignade alentours. De bons conseils et échanges sur les lieux à visiter (patrimoine et gastronomie) dans notre trop court séjour. Très franchement nous recommandons !

Le lieu est très agréable, nous étions très fatiguées et nous avons pu nous bien nous ressourcer. Le repas est de haute qualité, nous nous sommes régalées !!! Les hôtes sont vraiment très accueillants ce qui participe à notre super weekend

Logement parfaitement situé, très proche de la citée médiévale de Sarlat. Le Logement est impeccable et très agréable. Les petits déjeuners sont excellents. Annick et Yannick sont très accueillants et de bons conseils. Nous y retournerons à coup sûr lors d'une prochaine virée dans le Périgord. Nous recommandons à 100 %

We had a wonderful stay with Joy and Alex (and Hero and Coco). From the lead up to the visit where Joy was incredibly helpful with directions to our arrival which was incredibly welcoming we were delighted with the lead up to our stay. The Pigonnier is set in a picturesque location and is a great size for a couple to share. Breakfast next to the pool each morning was a particular highlight and Joy was wonderfully accomodating with our visit around a wedding that we were attending. We would absolutely recommend staying here for a great base for visiting the local area.

Magnifique petit studio rénové dans une bâtisse en pierre disposant de tout le confort ! Catherine est très accueillante et le p’tit dej est extra 👌🏼. Plusieurs petites terrasses à votre disposition pour profiter d’un calme absolu !

Nous avons passé une nuit dans ce gite. L'endroit est très calme. Le domaine est situé dans la forêt : la route pour y arriver est très belle. Les bâtiments sont typiques de la région, très bien rénovés. Le domaine est joli, bien arboré. L'intérieur est très bien rénové, avec gout. La chambre et la salle de bain sont spacieuses. L'accueil est chaleureux. Nous avons beaucoup discuté avec l'hôte et c'était sympathique, enrichissant. Un agréable moment. Le petit déjeuner est très bien : soit "classique", soit avec des produits locaux. Je recommande vivement ce gite.

Corine and Patrick were both friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The chateau was beautifully kept and peaceful. The grounds included space to walk or take a swim in the pool. The breakfast was exceptional from the beautiful china and linen, to the home baking. Extremely relaxing, a great place to unwind. We were spoilt. Thank you.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Mathilde et Martin. l'endroit est sublime, la maison très chaleureuse. Les espaces communs sont très très très agréables à vivre, on se sent presque dans la nature en cuisinant. L'immense table invite à de longues discussions avec les différents hôtes de la maison. C'est moderne, accueillant, apaisant, lumineux, convivial. Nous étions avec notre bébé d'un an. Elle a pu gambader partout en toute tranquillité. Tout était prévu pour accueillir des enfants. Merci ! Et ça a été une chouette rencontre avec Martin et Mathilde. Vous avez réussi à faire un très beau projet de cette maison, bravo ! Pour résumer : nous avons passé notre séjour à nous demander avec qui nous reviendrons passer une semaine ou deux. Nous avons tellement aimé que ça donne déjà envie de revenir ! À la revoyure !

Jane, Duncan and their son Lorne are amazing. So friendly and kind and so helpful. Helped with translations on the phone, were great to chat with but also give us our space. This place is a gem. One of the most beautiful views we’ve seen. Thanks so much!

Our 1 night stay with Gaby and Werner was just wonderful! We could have easily have stayed a few nights longer if time would have permitted. The B and B is located in a beautiful location, the house is nothing short of stunning, we really appreciated the history of the home and the fact Gaby and Werner were happy to explain the history of the home. The house is so warm, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. We opted to enjoy the 3 course meal, wow, the quality of the food and wine was first class. We loved meeting Kiki the dog and the four cats, makes it so homely. The absolute best part for us was the conversations we enjoyed with Gaby and Werner, such kind and friendly people. We recommend this B and B, try to stay more than one night!

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans le gite qu ils proposent, l espace piscine et cuisine extérieur nous ont permis de très bons moments de détente avec nos enfants. Nous avons passé un superbe séjour chez Bruno et Veronique. Les hôtes étaient très accueillants et disponibles. Nous avons reçu de bons conseils pour visiter la ville et la région. De plus, l’hôtel particulier est exceptionnel. Nous avons reçu une visite du lieu très intéressante. La chambre correspondait à la description. Le lit était confortable. Le petit déjeuner très copieux. Bref, je recommande chaudement.

We were welcomed by our hosts like members of the family. We were treated so kindly from the moment we arrived. We were hoping for a short quiet rest from a motor tour of France. We received a mini retreat, nothing was too much trouble and many things provided were above and beyond. I’m excited to return and visit Delphine and Geoff as they commence the next chapter at Maison Cistus.
