it was a great place to stay, very clean room and bathroom, kitchen was nice and full with all the necessary stuff. i like all the environment around the place. 5 star to everything. i recommend this place. only minor thing i want to mention that back door doesn’t get locked from inside, other than that i am happy with the experience.
A calm lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and greenery, reflecting the landscape in its clear waters. A dog is seen near the water's edge, and patches of snow remain on the mountainside.

Adorable 1 room cabin in the trees

DavidRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Teryl's hosting was great! Having her live so close was very helpful. The setting was beautiful, and cabin was charming. The bathroom was especially nice. The roads nearby were mostly unused, so the entire stay was very, very peaceful and quiet. The town of Taylorsville is one of the most picturesque and charming tiny little towns I've ever visited in the US. My only advice to future quests is that, because nearby dining out options are limited, bringing some meal items might be helpful for a longer stay. Thank you Teryl for a fantastic visit!

Rainbow's End

We had a wonderful stay! The one-bedroom unit is even better than it looks in the photos—perfectly sized for a couple, very clean, and well maintained. The air conditioning was a huge plus during the hot days. The host was super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our late check-out, which we really appreciated.

Updated Home in East Quincy

Comfortable house with everything you need. This home is extremely clean and well kept. The renovation is beautiful with a large common area. I appreciated that there were plenty of towels and a well stocked kitchen to make it easy to cook. There is plenty of parking if you come with a group. This home is so much better than the pictures!

Lake Almanor Panoramic Lake Views Home w/ Hot Tub

JasonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed here for a family winter trip with 5 adults and 2 little children. We didn't feel cramped once, and the property made our trip a great one. The sunset views of the lake are top notch. The decks, grills, and hot tub are an amazing addition to any trip. We didn't even use the game room until our last day there, and when we did it felt like we are at a whole new place again. We would definitely rebook this property. The drive way as described is very steep but manageable, and the exterior of the property is canvased in surveillance cameras, which didn't bother us and it's described in the listing, but was the most cameras I've seen on a property. Overall, this is a 5-Star property and worth booking!
A charming cabin exterior showcases a welcoming porch with wooden steps leading to double doors. Large windows allow ample natural light, and potted plants are placed on either side of the entrance. Surrounding trees add a serene backdrop to the cozy structure.

Enjoy The Historic Ranch in Taylorsville!

JessicaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
You book this house for the location, the people you bring with you, and the friendly folks who live in this small town. There is so much to do in these valleys. We swam, hiked, cycled, offroaded, and learned the history of the town and its people. We grilled out with meat we bought from the owners, watched our niece go out for a pony ride in the hay fields (generous hosts!), and spent our down time watching farm life from the porch. At the end of the day we lit a fire in the woodstove and slept well. The beds are comfortable and the hosts are responsive. This house is not going to be featured in Sunset magazine. It's an old farmhouse on a working ranch, and I can understand that housework and ranchwork are time consuming. There's just not time for everything. But everything you need to work well does. We had a great trip and look forward to visiting again. If you're uncomfortable with an odd insect or have strong preferences for sleek modern design, you may want to look elsewhere.
