Serene Apartment in a D.C. Rowhouse

This basement apartment is located in a beautiful Victorian rowhouse. Modern white walls and fixtures are contrasted with colorful artwork and vibrant patterns to give each space a relaxing vibe. Cook with local ingredients in the kitchen and curl up with a book on the plush sofa after a day of exploring DC. We live in the main house above the apartment, and are available to help with any questions/issues guests may have. The home is located in Bloomingdale - a great neighborhood with a range of charming cafes, tasty restaurants, and lively bars all within a few blocks. Explore the iconic National Mall and the many museums and memorials DC has to offer, or take in a yoga class around the corner after picking up local produce at the neighborhood farmers' market. The two closest Metro Stations are Shaw/Howard University (Green/Yellow), and NoMa (Red line). Both are about a 10 minute walk from our house. Several bus stops are also conveniently located nearby, with service to Chinatown/Downtown, the National Mall, Union Station, Georgetown/Dupont, Logan Circle, etc. If you will be driving, street parking is generally plentiful in our neighborhood, We also provide a visitors parking pass so you don't need to worry about time limits. Please note that the apartment is most suitable for 2-3 adults, though the sofa bed in the living room does sleep 2.

This is a two-bedroom/one bath lower level apartment in a row house/brownstone. Historically, it’s been rented to interns, young professionals and grad students, but I’ve decided to give Airbnb a try. The location is pretty central; it’s about a mile away from the Capitol building, a 15 minute walk from the beginning of the U Street Party District, a 10 minute walk from the subway and a 15 minute walk from Trader Joe’s and Union Market.
