Fine mezzanine room with double bed

I stayed at Griet's for a week while visiting Mechelen for a conference. The attic room is peaceful, comfortable, and like a little cottage atop of her house - private yet still connected through shared hallways, bathroom, and a gorgeous backyard. Griet was communicative and flexible with check in, supplied me with eggs from her chickens, and a powerful fan when the weather got very hot for a few days. She took time to talk with me about Mechelen and Belgium, and social issues in the world. Much of the time I was in and out of my room without much interaction, but openness to conversation and exchange really brightened my days. This was hands down one of my favorite experiences facilitated through AirBnB.

We stayed here for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The place was exceptionally clean and well kept, with a peaceful and quiet location that made for a relaxing stay. The hosts were friendly, pleasant, and very helpful throughout our visit. We would definitely recommend this place to others.
