Guesthouse vacation rentals in Thousand Oaks

The host Linda was very responsive. We were evacuated due to the Palisades and other wild fires, and we were very disappointed! But Linda called in the middle of the night telling us we had to leave. Power went out eventually in the unit and we returned quickly to retrieve all of our belongings. We were able to go and stay with friends we were supposed to be visiting. Since the situation was so terrible, we arranged to leave early for our second destination and Linda was very gracious about refunding our early departure and Airb&b was very helpful and refunded our entire stay. Hopefully, when we return for our son’s wedding in May we will have the full experience!

Great place for a quick getaway in the mountains. The drive to the spot was very scenic. I would recommend the space for anyone that was looking for a quick nature trip.

What a hidden gem! This little guest studio was perfect. Quiet, private, super clean. I walked to Trader Joe’s and Walgreens within 10 mins and there’s a minimart even closer for snacks etc. The provided coffee and creamer was so appreciated. AC worked great during the LA heat wave. Bathroom was spacious and spotless. I visit LA every year and will definitely be back.

Michael and Laura were fabulous hosts. Before I checked in, they sent me a message asking about my favorite drink -- so that they could have it waiting for me! I felt like I arrived to a secret garden, with a darling welcome sign at the front door. The entrance feels fully private and the area is so quiet. The space is thoughtfully stocked, with everything I needed for cooking, showering, sleeping, relaxing. Michael checked in to see that I had everything I needed and was quick to respond when I texted about best walkable grocery stores or scenic walks. They are a perfect combination of warm and attentive, while also respecting privacy. This is my favorite Airbnb I've ever stayed. And I hope to come back again! Seriously cannot thank them enough for a wonderful time and for sharing their incredible space with me! Hugs to you both -- fabulous job!

Had a lovely three week stay stay at Alice and Eric's lovely guesthouse / cottage in Topanga! Very quiet and peaceful setting, guesthouse was private and spacious with everything you need, and I really enjoyed reading and hanging out on the patio and in the garden area on sunny days. So many great hiking trails nearby and it's only a 5-7 minute drive into Topanga Village or an easy 10-12 minutes into Calabasas and Woodland Hills where there are plenty of great grocery stores and restaurants. Wonderful calm and serene alternative place for a short or long stay compared to the many overly busy, crowded areas of greater Los Angeles. Highly recommend! Thanks Eric and Alice for being such great hosts!

Really glad I chose to stay here instead of a hotel for my trip. It is very cute and cozy and the view you get is very nice. Megan was very helpful and was a great host! Thank you 🙏🏼

As a Ventura native, coming back to my hometown is always so special. This spot was in such a precious location, and was perfect for my boyfriend and I, who spent time in Saticoy with family, went out to eat in Downtown Ventura, and did a day trip to Ojai! It seemed to be right in the middle of all of the most important spots. Andy and Amanda were responsive to any questions we had and were so friendly. The guesthouse was so cute and cozy, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This Airbnb in West Hollywood was a gem! For our two-night trip, the location was absolutely perfect, putting us within easy reach of all the attractions, restaurants, and nightlife. We were thrilled to have a guaranteed parking spot, which is invaluable in this area. The room itself was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. It truly felt like our own private retreat, offering excellent privacy. The host was also super helpful, making check-in and check-out seamless and readily available for any questions we had. The essential amenities provided ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable and convenient stay. We would definitely book again!

I must say that this place was one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in! I would ever go as far as to say the pictures doesn’t do it justice. It was an absolute beauty, with a huge hot tub deck complete with a covered outside bar with a grill and room for 10+ guests. The guest itself was spotless and well-stocked with everything you could possibly need. There is even a washer and dryer inside the unit. I would most definitely recommend staying here and will be booking a stay here again. Thank you Tracy for your near-immediate responses, welcoming hospitality, and quaint accommodations!

Can't say enough good things about Michael and the AirBnB! The place itself was really cute - the decor was beautiful and evocative of the Topanga spirit. The hot tub was clean and the view was beautiful. We weren't especially good guests - we arrived late, disheveled, and without a car - but Michael was an extremely gracious and accommodating host. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to make sure we got a great experience. He even let us play with the baby kittens, which was a real highlight of the weekend! Would come back in a heartbeat, and we'd be sure to be better prepared on our return journey!

I had a wonderful stay at the casita! Michael and Sara were awesome hosts and I was welcomed into the space. Hosts were really communicative and quickly responded to any questions that I had. The space was beautiful both indoors and outdoors, and the kitchen was nicely stocked with the basics. The water pitcher was a really nice touch and highly appreciated when I arrived. Parking was not difficult, managed to park on the street and the hosts offered the driveway space as well. Overall, I had a great time staying here, and it is a spot I would highly recommend and consider staying again next time I'm in the area. Thank you for hosting me.

This was one of the best Airbnb places I've ever stayed! Easy and clear communication about checking in, a great neighborhood, thoughtful and beautiful touches like fresh flowers, snacks, drinks in the fridge, and a bottle of welcome wine. All the furniture, towels, bed and kitchen amenities were top notch, as if I was staying at a friend's place, not a temporary vacation rental. Beautiful space and yard, very private and quiet area, abundant street parking, and only a 5 minute drive downtown. Amy's will be my 1st choice from now on anytime I'm planning a trip to Ventura!

Great Stay for me & my Girlfriend , beautiful view i do recommend !

This place was perfect to stay at for a weekend. Nestled in the mountains just a few minutes from the main road, the drive up is steep and narrow, which made it feel like a real adventure. It’s also only a short drive to the town, which is super cute and fun to walk around — lots of small shops to explore. The Airbnb is very private with stunning views, and the photos are exactly what it looks like. I loved sitting outside in the mornings, listening to the birds and watching wildlife. There’s a hiking trail right behind the property too. The space was spotless and beautifully decorated — cozy bed, comfy couch, and a great kitchen with fridge, stove, utensils, etc (though no microwave). I’d suggest grabbing groceries in LA, about 15 minutes away, since the local store is small. There was no Wi-Fi and I had no phone signal at the Airbnb, but I didn’t mind since I wanted to unplug. I could walk just a minute down the road to get service if needed. I loved this place, it was magical.

Ray and Andrea were amazing. They communicated very well, made everything easy, and have an adorable property. We had a couple of encounters with them and they were pleasant and friendly, as well as messages in which they were also great. I highly recommend this property and the hosts, it was well worth it.

Laura Jane's place was great! it was very clean, comfortable and private. We stay a few days, and we appreciate everything even the banana bread she prepared.

The property was in the hills of Topanga Canyon. Quiet except for the bird symphony. Beautiful surroundings and very private. Lynn was extremely accessible and house was clean and well equipped. I'll be back soon!

Lucy’s place was outstanding and more than I was expecting. She greeted me upon arrival and was very friendly and helpful. The guest house was extremely clean with lots of amenities and extras that no other Airbnbs typically provide (things like a bathrobe, slippers, multiple bottles of water). The decor has a lot of interesting and appealing artwork. It was a very comfortable stay. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the LA/Hollywood area!
