It is only 30 km away from Barcelona. The train leaves you by the Aeri that takes you up to the monastery. Once there, you can hike and see these marvelous mountains.
This makes for a wonderful day trip, the Abbey is beautiful but the mountain is incredible and a walk or a hike is well rewarded.
