Take a bike ride or stroll along the bike track to Dight's Falls, a scenic place on the Yarra River. Good for picnics.

1km from the cottage over Hoddle Street, the falls themselves aren't that exciting but they form the gateway to the Yarra Trail, Merri Creek Trail and Yarra Bend parklands which has lots of tracks to follow.

Dights Falls is a rapid and weir on the Yarra River in Melbourne, Victoria, just downstream of the junction with the Merri Creek. At this point the river narrows and is constricted between 800,000-year-old volcanic, basaltic lava flow and a much older steep, silurian, sedimentary spur.

Intersection of the Merri Creek & the Yarra River. Below this point the Yarra River is brackish. Upstream keep your eyes out for platypus! They are hard to see though
