see the weathered fishing shanties and tug boats up close at this historic fishing village. in the summer months, the shanties house some of our favorite boutiques and shops. be sure to check out compass paper co and the cheese shop for a tasty sandwich!

A cute historic town with quaint restaurants and shops. Eat at The Cove overlooking the falls or enjoy pretzel bread sandwiches from the take out only Village Cheese Shanty.

This is a genuine operating fishing village. You may get lucky and watch them unload their haul. Either way, you can buy smoked fish at Carlson's.

Still an active fishing community, Fishtown shacks have been preserved and feature unique gift shops and the much love Village Cheese Shanty sandwich shop. We’re fans of their caramels.
