Jangling Jack’s

Why locals recommend it
This bar is long, narrow, and intimate. Even better is the cocktail menu, with drinks executed by talented bartenders. Popular tipples include the Mary Pickford—white rum, maraschino liqueur, pineapple juice, and grenadine—and Kiki’s Hummingbird, a take on a margarita where tequila is blended with lime, orange-blossom honey, and lime sherbet. You can easily fill up on the bar snacks here—think boneless fried chicken and steak frites. But if you’re looking for a more-refined dining experience, pop around the corner to Chester White. The Italian-inspired menu is superb, the wines are great, and the atmosphere is always buzzing.
Tips from locals
An awesome little cocktail bar with great snack food and a pretty decent burger too
Tucked away on Victoria St behind Kings X station, Jangling Jacks is a very cool late night haunt. My friend Frank, DJs there regularly. He is one of Sydney's leading music authorities (ex Waterfront Records), who is so dedicated to the cause that he will do three hours of sets using 45s! Soul, funk, 60s girl bands, curios ... you name it. A fantastic spot. Lot of fun.
