Pet-friendly vacation rentals in The Catlins

Lovely new place to stay with everything you needed for a weekend getaway. The weather wasn't kind to us so we made good use of the Ludo set and spent quality family time. We will have to come back in summer to do some exploring and enjoy the outside bath and firepit to toast some marshmallows. Highly recommend to others. Thanks Mel and James.

This is an older property, very warm, exceptionally clean with great views and walkable to a excellent cafe.

Rohits place is lovely and cosy, warm once you put the heating on. Private to their house. Has everything you need to heat food just a microwave so you are unable to cook. But everything else is provided. No tv but we came prepared with laptops. Waverley is a lovely area with a takeaway and cafe very close.

Chris was a great host - and the accomodation was peaceful, quiet and cosy! Well positioned to get to local places of interest. Definitely recommended!

Sally's cottage is quaint and authentic plus great care has been taken to provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very well equipped kitchen, including very helpful basics like cooking oil. Right in centre of town.

This is an older home with the quirky features of one, but most importantly it was CLEAN! The linens clean and fresh, kitchen and the rest of the home as well. Lots of room to spread out, lots of wood to keep us warm, many games, books and magazines. The puzzle coffee table was great and the evening found the family gathered around it. Location was good view o and close to the water. Highly recommend.

This place is gorgeous! An old world character home with all the mod cons. The views are amazing!! Such a treat to wake in your bed and look straight out to a magic sunrise each morning. It was so toasty warm with a great fire and heat pumps to take the chill off. We will definitely be back.

Janines's place is even lovelier than the pictures. Fabulous view, right on the beach and perfect for walking and dolphin spotting (at the right time of year). Particularly appreciated the very well equipped kitchen; and two bathrooms made for a very comfortable stay for a couple and two singles (with own double bedrooms). Very comfy beds. Hoping to come back again!

It’s been a pleasure to stay in Ben’s place, it has everything we needed, comfy beds and a big area outside, lounge, bathroom all really good and clean specially if you have kids, the communication is also impeccable. Thanks for everything Ben.

Lovely place. We had some wild Southern stormy weather and the place was warm and nice just to watch the storm

A homely little cottage with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. The heat pump was effective in warming the space in the chilly weather. Such a beautiful view and relatively private. I highly recommend doing the Huriawa Pā Walk out on the spit if the weather is dry.

Lovely spacious house perfect for large groups. Beautiful surroundings and everything you need provided. The managers of the house are lovely but did feel we were rushed out when they came in unannounced at 10am when check out was at 11am. Other than that we had a lovely time and really enjoyed how beautiful the gardens and character of the house

Shannon was such a lovely friendly host, she was quick to respond to my queries and made sure we had everything we needed. The house was so nice and my kids loved the array of toys they left for us. House was clean when we arrived and the hot tub was fired up and warm - so lovely!

Awesome relaxing home. We stayed over a colder long weekend, but the house was warm and cosy. The log burner was great. Fantastic place for a family to come and relax. Well supplied with appliances and provisions and Alvin is a great host. Can't wait to return in the warmer months.

Jason went out of his way to make our stay special. Perfect for a large family group who love to stay together but aren't squashed in. Coffee machine is fantastic and the view is a time waster. House was warm and inviting. Would definitely stay again.

Our time at the harbour hideaway was amazing. Adelle and Greg went above and beyond in welcoming us and answering questions that we had. They set up the heater on the hot tub ahead of time so it was ready and available when we arrived. The views from their place were amazing and the food provided was delicious. The place is beautifully decorated and felt super cozy. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend there.

What a good weekend that I had for rest my mind in the Leandro’s place! So peaceful and beautiful place! Leandro and his partner were so amazing and Im so grateful to meet them and see their place! And plus, the breakfast was so good! Im sure, im gonna come back! Thank you so much!
