Our place is an (300yr) old granary, taken down from the mountains and rebuilt here at Lamawanderland with lots of love! You'll find yourself in the middle of the countryside on a farm we like to think of as a Peaceful but quirky place, inviting a sense of relaxation and homeliness. Our region "the Mostviertel" is located in the beautiful foothills of the Alps, where fantastic hiking and biking routes are easily accessible by car. Stift Melk and the Wachau region are also close by.

Our small 60 m² apartment offers you everything you need from the interior - in addition to a great view of our local mountain, the Ötscher (1898 m), but also in the idyllic landscape of the Mostviertel. Through the windows, which open up to a direct view of the neighboring fields and forests… Our location is very quiet on the one hand, on the outskirts of Wieselburg-Land, on the other hand it is only 5 km to the Ybbs west highway entrance. The surroundings offer a varied program!

Our cozy log cabin is located on the edge of the Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park and is a perfect starting point for numerous activities in the beautiful Ötscherland! On our property there is a playground and a sandbox that can be shared, as well as a private seating area for guests. Our barbecue area including smoker may be used by appointment! Leisure facility with outdoor pool, beach volleyball court and public playground within 250 m walking distance.

My partner and I really enjoyed staying at the Holzknechthütte. The accommodation is rustic and simple and still offers some comfort (warm water for the bathtub outside, small fridge, Wi-Fi, electric stove and wood stove, running cold water in the cottage, kettle, pots and pans, dishes). The location is quiet, surrounded by nature and yet easily accessible: by car via the forest road or on foot from Lunz am See via the beautiful and interesting railway adventure trail (duration about 1.5 hours). On site, the contact person was very accommodating and friendly. In the rain, it is a little cramped in the cottage, but it is well insulated and remained warm even in cool temperatures.

The house is in a beautiful location and invites you to relax. The pool was a refreshing extra. Overall, the place is close to nature with wildlife change outside the front door. We were in the Wachau for the first time and booked with Oliver and Desiree because of a tip. It was a hit for us. We wanted nature and spaciousness. In addition, the three of us arrived and therefore needed a corresponding apartment. Here the loft was perfect for us. Desiree is an absolutely warm host, and was able to help us with any questions. The square courtyard is so large. We had complete privacy and, in addition to a private entrance, a private parking space. We enjoyed the garden. The kitchen was top. We cooked every day. And we've been traveling a lot with the bikes. We'll be back for sure.

It is definitely an indescribable experience, just absolute peace, and it has a great charm. It is worth hiking in this area, then going to the hut and relaxing. Absolutely recommended and we will definitely come back!!!!
